NFL World Reacts to Lamar Jackson Silencing Critics by Reporting for Ravens’ Offseason Program: ‘We’re So Back’

Lamar Jackson is officially attending the Ravens' Offseason Program. It fired up the Ravens fans and analysts as they defend the star QB.

The Baltimore Ravens reported on Monday for their voluntary offseason workout program. Ahead of the arrival, it was unclear if two-time MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson would be in attendance, as the two sides look to come to terms on a long-term contract extension. The dual-threat quarterback quickly silenced the questions, showing up on Day 1 of voluntary offseason workouts, ready to get back to work.

NFL World Amped Up for Lamar Jackson Being at Ravens’ Offseason Program

With a new head coach in place in Jesse Minter, Baltimore is looking to break their trend of falling short in the postseason. But before they do that, they need to get back to the Postseason after falling short in 2025, following a heartbreaking last-second loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the final game of the regular season.

Under the new regime, Baltimore is looking to build chemistry early, and having Jackson in attendance this early is a sign to teammates how important it is to be there.

“Phase 1 right now is strictly meetings, strength, and conditioning, so it’s not mandatory, but Lamar showing up on Day 1 is massive,” wrote Preme Football. “With a new coaching staff in place, this is an early sign that things could look different in Baltimore this offseason.

Jackson had a down year in 2025, ranking as the No. 12 quarterback in PFSN’s Quarterback Impact Metric (QBi), as he battled injuries and was limited to only 13 games played. Baltimore finished under .500 (6-7) in games Jackson started for the first time in his career, but with a full offseason to recover, the expectation is Jackson will return to form.

In those 13 games, despite not meeting his standards, Jackson still completed 63.6% of his passes for 2,549 yards, 21 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions. However, it was on the ground that he was truly unable to be as effective, as he was held under 600 rushing yards for the first time in his career, finishing with only 349.

Many took to social media to express their excitement about Jackson showing up early and breaking a trend that has not been commonplace in his career thus far.

“We’re so back,” said Jack Settleman, the founder and CEO of Snapback Sports.

In addition to the excitement of having Jackson back, many took to social media to defend the quarterback against any criticism he has received throughout his career, whether it be for leadership, his playoff performance, or something else.

“Lamar showing up to the facility in April, so I don’t gotta listen to people say he’s not locked in,” said Hoodie Ramey.

Others believe this is the first sign that Jackson will be back and better than ever, ready to prove the doubters wrong. “This feels significant,” wrote ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.

It remains to be seen if Jackson will return to MVP form in 2026, but right now, vibes are high in Baltimore. Ravens’ fans are amped for the start of the season, as Jackson and the Ravens will look to prove the doubters wrong and make a deep playoff run in the first year with Minter at the helm.
