Packers Injury Report: Latest Updates on Josh Jacobs, Jayden Reed, and Lukas Van Ness

The Packers face their toughest opponent of the season Sunday -- the Broncos. What’s the latest on Josh Jacobs, Jayden Reed, and more?

The Green Bay Packers will travel to Denver in Week 15 to take on the Broncos. A week after the Packers’ biggest game of the season, they’ll face arguably their toughest test yet.

Green Bay now holds sole possession of first place in the NFC North, but that could change if the Packers don’t come away with a win on Sunday.

The Broncos sit at 11-2 and are tied for the No. 1 seed in the AFC along with the New England Patriots. Denver will be the Packers’ toughest opponent — record-wise — this season.

Packers Injury Report: Updates on Josh Jacobs, Jayden Reed, Lukas Van Ness, and More

The Packers saw receiver Jayden Reed play his first game on Sunday against the Chicago Bears since Week 2, and he looked good doing so.

Running back Josh Jacobs has been dealing with a lingering knee injury, and defensive lineman Lukas Van Ness has been out for the last two weeks with a foot injury. Here’s the latest on the Packers’ injury report.

Packers Wednesday Injury Report

  • S Javon Bullard (Ankle) – Limited Participant
  • DL Brenton Cox Jr. (Groin) – Limited Participant
  • DL Kingsley Enagbare (Knee) – Limited Participant
  • WR Matthew Golden (Wrist) – Limited Participant
  • RB Josh Jacobs (Knee) – Did Not Participate
  • RB MarShawn Lloyd (Calf) – Limited Participant

  • DL Collin Oliver (Hamstring) – Limited Participant
  • WR Jayden Reed (Shoulder) – Limited Participant
  • DL Jordon Riley (Knee) – Limited Participant

  • DL Lukas Van Ness (Foot) – Limited Participant
  • LB Kristian Welch (Concussion) – Limited Participant
  • WR Dontayvion Wicks (Ankle) – Limited Participant
  • WR Savion Williams (Foot) – Limited Participant

The main outlier from Wednesday’s injury report is Jacobs not practicing. The Packers’ running back has been dealing with his knee injury for much of the season.

However, Jacobs has only missed one game this year due to the injury — Week 12 against the Minnesota Vikings. He had just seven carries in the game prior, against the New York Giants, but otherwise has been a steady workhorse for the Packers.

Jacobs not practicing on Wednesday isn’t cause for concern — unless it continues into Thursday and Friday.

Another notable name is Van Ness, who practiced as a limited participant. The Packers’ defensive lineman missed practice all last week, so his return on Wednesday is a positive sign for the health of his foot.

Van Ness missed five games earlier this year with his foot injury. He returned against the Minnesota Vikings but couldn’t finish the game and hasn’t played since. Van Ness has missed seven of the Packers’ last eight games.

Everyone else was a limited participant, except for Love, who was a full participant. Reed, Bullard, Wicks, and Golden were all questionable last week but did play. However, Golden and Wicks had limited snaps due to their injuries.

Coach Matt LaFleur said Wicks is considered “day-to-day” right now. They will all be players to watch as the week progresses, with the Packers’ toughest opponent of the season coming on Sunday.
