Broncos 7-Round Mock Draft 2025: Ohio State Standout Added To Reinforce Defense

The Denver Broncos will add their needs through free agency and draft the best players available during the NFL Draft.

You add your needs through free agency and draft the best player available during the NFL Draft. Best player available rarely meets a need, but it’s hard to beat when it does. That’s what’s likely to happen for the Denver Broncos in the 2025 NFL Draft. That said, the Broncos probably don’t draft a wide receiver in the starter rounds — the first three rounds of the draft — and the team may not add one through free agency as well. More on this below.

Round 1, Pick 32: Kayden McDonald, DT, Ohio State

Best player available meeting a need, McDonald is the John Franklin-Myers replacement. The former has a 78.2 DT Impact Score, so he should get better as the season goes on.

Round 2, Pick 64: Oscar Delp, TE, Georgia

It’s a coin flip if Delp falls to No. 64 overall, but he did in this mock draft. The Broncos can play Delp and Evan Engram together in 12 personnel for a season before the former takes over as TE1 in Denver. No, there’s not a wide receiver worth drafting here.

There won’t be an X receiver in the second round, so the Broncos should bank on the Year 2 growth of Pat Bryant — unless there is a WR in free agency worth signing. Delp, meanwhile, has an 81.2 TE Impact Score.

Round 3, Pick 96: Jonah Coleman, RB, Washington

J.K. Dobbins is likely gone after the 2025 season, so the Broncos need a 1B to pair with RJ Harvey. This is not a wasted pick because there are only a handful of three-down backs. Harvey will play in 11 and 21 personnel (with an H-back), and Coleman can mix in on 12 and 13 personnel. The latter has an 86.4 RB Impact Score as well.

Round 4, Pick 105: Taurean York, LB, Texas A&M

The New Orleans Saints are so bad that this fourth-round pick is right on the cusp of starter round territory — the first three rounds of the draft — so York is the Alex Singleton replacement.

Round 4, Pick 132: Carter Smith, OT, Indiana

Smith is a swing tackle who can marinate for a season. Then the Broncos may be able to get out from under Mike McGlinchey’s contract in 2027.

Round 5, Pick 172: Kevin Coleman Jr., WR, Missouri

No fireworks here. The Broncos add a depth receiver in the fifth round to play behind Courtland Sutton, Troy Franklin, Mims Jr., and Bryant. The draft is basically over after five rounds, so Coleman Jr. symbolizes the last rookie with a guaranteed roster spot heading into 2026. The Broncos’ three seventh-round picks are going to be playing for practice squad slots in training camp — unless they pull the Terrell Davis.

Round 7, Pick 246: Robert Henry Jr., RB, UTSA

Round 7, Pick 253: Dontae Balfour, CB, Texas Tech

Round 7, Pick 254: Akheem Mesidor, EDGE, Miami
