With the Arizona Cardinals playing on Monday night in Week 9, they had a full practice on Friday. However, that didn’t mean Halloween wasn’t involved. Cardinals’ safety Budda Baker showed up in a Halloween mask ready to scare anyone he ran into. This isn’t the first time Baker has had fun on Halloween, and he made sure to make the most of it once again in 2025.
Budda Baker Showed Up To Practice In a Halloween Costume
Baker loves to have fun with the holidays, and especially Halloween. Last year, Halloween was on a practice day as well, and like clockwork, Baker showed up in a costume. This year, the Cardinals’ safety showed up in a mask that he’s only allowed to wear at work.
“Got the girls, going to be dressed up tonight. Do a little trick or treat. I won’t be in this. I wore it one time, got it from Amazon, scared my little 1-year-old,” Baker said. “Yeah, I can’t wear it at the house, so I can only wear it at work.”

The first minute-plus of Baker’s media availability was centered around his Halloween costume. “Hopefully I play like what I look like,” Baker said.
The Cardinals’ safety added that there were a couple of other players who dressed up as well, but his was the best.
However, the media were the last to see Baker’s mask. He was busy scaring anyone he saw throughout the morning.
“Oh, I’ve been scaring people all morning,” Baker said. “They’ll be looking this way, and then I just have my head right next to their ear, and then as soon as they turn, I’m right there, and they’re like, ‘Ahhhh!'”

“So, it’s been fun. Always good to celebrate Halloween and holidays on work days,” he added.
Now, the work day is over, and Baker will get to go home and enjoy the rest of Halloween with his family.
The Cardinals will travel to Texas in Week 9 to face the Dallas Cowboys, another team that desperately needs a win to redirect its season. Arizona sits at 2-5, projected to win 6.3 games this season, and has a 4.6% chance to make the playoffs, according to PFSN’s NFL Football Playoff Meter.
The Cowboys sit at 3-4-1, projected to win 7.2 games this year and have an 11.5% chance to make the playoffs, according to PFSN’s NFL Football Playoff Meter. One team will increase its chances at the postseason on Monday night, and the other will put its playoff hopes on life support.
