NFL Players React To Abdul Carter ‘Feuding’ With Jaxson Dart

“Thought this sh*t was AI, what we doing man,” Carter posted in X early Saturday morning, in response to the video of Dart introducing Trump.

Former NFL players were quick to call out Carter, the first being Breiden Fehoko.

“Shut The F**k Up And Dribble,” the retired Chargers DT said on X. “Stop talking about your teammates’ political beliefs… This guy is your quarterback one, Abdul. You’ve got to go to war with this guy on Sundays.”

Former NFL QB turned broadcaster Robert Griffin III provided his thoughts as well.

“The New York Giants locker room is feuding BEFORE the season even starts. Over Donald Trump,” Griffin said.

“Bussin’ With The Boys,” a podcast hosted by former NFL veterans Will Compton and Taylor Lewan, responded to Carter from their official X account, sharing: “Checking in on the New York Giants this offseason…”

Conversely, Giants offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor defended his teammates and shot down the narrative of a divide in the locker room.

“Locker room is fine,” he wrote. “Focus on New England.”

Eluemunor also responded to Giants beat writer Pat Leonard, simply telling him to “relax” after Leonard replied to Carter’s initial post with an awkward emoji.

Later in the evening, Carter finally attempted to clear the air, letting the NFL world know he and Dart have moved past the situation: “Me & JD6 are good! We spoke earlier as men. Yall can keep yall narratives.”

Carter, who was selected by the Giants with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, posted a strong rookie campaign, placing fifth in Defensive Rookie of the Year voting. Across 17 contests, he recorded 43 total tackles, 4 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and 2 fumble recoveries. Carter posted an 84.1 grade in PFSN’s NFL EDGE Impact Score, finishing 17th among all edge rushers last season.

Dart, who was drafted No. 25 overall last year, appeared in 14 games. The rookie passed for 2,272 yards and 15 touchdowns to 5 interceptions, while adding 487 rushing yards and 9 more scores on the ground. Dart finished fourth in the Offensive Rookie of the Year race and ranked 18th among all signal-callers in PFSN’s NFL QB Impact Score.

Entering their second NFL seasons, Dart and Carter will aim to lead their respective units while continuing to build chemistry both on and off the field. The Giants will be a team worth monitoring this season as they look to return to playoff contention under new head coach John Harbaugh.
