NFL Week 10 Thursday Night Football | Odds & Betting Lines

Indianapolis Colts (-1) at Tennessee Titans

Time and Channel: 8:20 PM EST, NFL Network

The Colts have been successful so far this season because of their defense. Offensively, Philip Rivers has done enough to keep the Colts in games, but the defense has really shined. The Colts have been led by their defense, which comes in ranked first in total yards allowed per game, third against the pass, third against the run, and third in points allowed, giving up 20.0 PPG. They even managed to keep Lamar Jackson and the explosive Baltimore offense in check last game.

The Titans enter this game at 6-2, and their lead over the Colts in the AFC South is one game. The Texans and Jaguars pose no threat in this division, making this game very important for both teams. The Titans are led by their ground attack, which is sixth in the league. This means that we will see quite a bit of Derrick Henry.

Ultimately, I don’t think Henry will be able to do enough against this Colts defense. As long as Rivers doesn’t throw the Colts out of this one, they should squeak out the win. It isn’t one of my top Week 10 NFL picks, but I do feel confident in a Colts victory.

NFL Week 10 Picks and Prediction: Colts 21, Titans 17

    NFL Week 10 Sunday games

Houston Texans at Cleveland Browns (-3)

Time and Channel: 1:00 PM EST, CBS

This game is set up to be somewhat intriguing because the quarterback battle favors the Texans, and both defenses have demonstrated the ability to give up points in abundance.

The key to this one will likely lie in the weather. High winds are expected for the second straight game in Cleveland, which should play into the hands of the Browns. Two weeks ago against the Raiders, they lost the rushing battle on a windy day, but they should have an advantage in this one with Nick Chubb set to return. Ideally for the Browns, Baker Mayfield will have a limited role in this one, as Hunt and Chubb look to carry them to victory.

NFL Week 10 Picks and Prediction: Browns 24, Texans 20

Washington Football Team at Detroit Lions (-3.5)

Time and Channel: 1:00 PM EST, FOX

This will not be a game that features highly on any “must-watch” categories this week, but there are some interesting storylines. Alex Smith is set to start his first game in two seasons, while the Lions are looking to keep themselves in with an outside chance in the NFC.

The vulnerability of both of these teams has, at times, seemed to be against the run. However, this will ultimately be a battle of whether the Lions offense can overcome a stingy Washington defense. If Washington is to win, they likely need to hold the Lions to around 20 points. Anything more and Detroit should be on their way to victory.

NFL Week 10 Picks and Prediction: Lions 24, Washington 17

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-5.5) at Carolina Panthers

Time and Channel: 1:00 PM EST, FOX

The first game between these two teams was closer than the 14 point differential suggests. The Panthers gave the Buccaneer offense troubles but could not capitalize offensively, ultimately allowing a big run from Leonard Fournette to seal the game.

After a horror showing in Week 9, look for the Buccaneers to come out with a point to prove. They should be able to move the ball against the Panthers and come away with a victory by a touchdown or more. If they cannot, well, then serious questions may need to be asked.

NFL Week 10 Picks and Prediction: Buccaneers 31, Panthers 20

Jacksonville Jaguars at Green Bay Packers (-14)

Time and Channel: 1:00 PM EST, CBS

A really tough game for the Jacksonville Jaguars, who will likely be chasing points all afternoon. They should have some success moving the ball on the ground against the Packers, who will not want to let a Jaguars team that has been frisky hang around.

This has the indications of a game in which Aaron Jones should dominate, with Aaron Rodgers and Devante Adams feeding off of it. However, the Packers will not want this to be close going into the fourth quarter, as the Jaguars will consider themselves to have nothing to lose. Look for the Packers to get up big early and then coast down the stretch as they did last time out in Week 9.

NFL Week 10 Picks, Predictions & Odds: Packers 34, Jaguars 20

Philadelphia Eagles (-3.5) at New York Giants

Time and Channel: 1:00 PM EST, FOX

The Eagles offense holds the key to this game. If they are clicking coming out of the bye with more players healthy, then this has the potential to be a blowout. However, the Eagles never seem to like to make things easy, and their offense could still show some rust from all the ins and outs in 2020.

The Giants will take heart from running the Eagles close in Philadelphia. Daniel Jones will need to show similar poise under pressure as he did last week. However, if he cannot, he could trip this Giants team up and leave them stumbling down the stretch in a division that is there to be won.

NFL Week 10 Picks and Prediction: Eagles 31, Giants 20

Los Angeles Chargers at Miami Dolphins (-2.5)

Time and Channel: 4:05 PM EST, CBS

This late slate is a feast of incredible matchups, and perhaps none is more mouthwatering than the clash of Tua Tagovailoa and Justin Herbert.

These rookies have taken the league by storm, and the future of the AFC looks promising with the likes of these two and Joe Burrow joining Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, and Josh Allen. I expect this game to be decided by a Miami Dolphins defense that is going great right now. The absence of Christian Wilkins could have an impact on the pressure the defensive line can exert, but the Dolphins should just be able to cause Herbert enough issues that Tua and his offense can win the game.

NFL Week 10 Picks and Prediction: Dolphins 30, Chargers 28

Buffalo Bills at Arizona Cardinals (-1.5)

Time and Channel: 4:05 PM EST, CBS

Josh Allen there his hat back in the MVP race last week, and the Bills handled another NFC West team in the Seattle Seahawks. Now he faces another strong team that have been an extremely tough out for teams in recent weeks. This matchup with Kyler Murray is another wonderful combination of two young quarterbacks playing very well right now.

After a loss to Miami, the Cardinals march has stalled. They are highly dependent on Murray to make plays on the ground, and that is something they will want to change against a Bills team that has been soft against the run at times. This should be an interesting back and forth, with a win absolutely crucial for both sides. Look for the Cardinals run game to get clicking, with their defense just doing enough to frustrate Allen and the Bills offense.

NFL Week 10 Picks and Prediction: Bills 31, Arizona 34

Denver Broncos at Las Vegas Raiders (-4.5)

Time and Channel: 4:05 PM EST, CBS

On a stacked slate of afternoon games, this one has got a little lost in the shuffle. Drew Lock desperately needs to fix his current trend of performing badly in the first half of games. His second-half heroics have been impressive, but it is hard to consistently be playing from behind all the time.

The Raiders are one of the most intriguing teams in the NFL this season. They have looked fine without ever excelling the past two weeks and will now want to assert their position as the main challengers for the Chiefs in this division. If the Raiders get up big, their combination of Josh Jacobs and Devontae Booker in the run game should be enough to hold off the Broncos.

NFL Week 10 Picks and Prediction: Raiders 33, Broncos 31

Seattle Seahawks at Los Angeles Rams (-1)

Time and Channel: 4:25 PM EST, FOX

The Rams have seemed to have the Seahawks number the last few years, scoring over 30 points more often than not. Given the state of the Seahawks defense in 2020, I see no reason that trend will not continue.

Meanwhile, the Seahawks offense will need a plan for dealing with the threat of Aaron Donald. The absence of Chris Carson will not help slow Donald down, meaning the key will be Wilson’s ability to make plays under pressure. These games always seem to be tight and often seem to have moments of magic. Under the roof in Los Angeles, give me the Rams to come out on top.

NFL Week 10 Picks and Prediction: Rams 34, Seahawks 30

Cincinnati Bengals at Pittsburgh Steelers (-9.5)

Time and Channel: 4:25 PM EST, CBS

This is another matchup that could get a little lost in the shuffle. If Joe Burrow can play the way he has most of the season, then the Bengals should push the Steelers all the way. The problem comes if he has another performance like the Ravens game, in which case this could get messy very fast.

The Steelers will be buoyed by the news of Ben Roethlisberger being expected to play. The QB has had to work hard to recover from knee injuries suffered last week but should be set for a good day against this Bengals defense. Look for the Steelers to ride the run game early, and if that doesn’t work, they will still have the ability to beat the Bengals handily through the air.

NFL Week 10 Picks and Prediction: Steelers 27, Bengals 17

San Francisco 49ers at New Orleans Saints (-6.5)

Time and Channel: 4:25 PM EST, FOX

This is a tough spot for the 49ers. They rely heavily on the run, but the Saints defense has been stifling run games all season. With no Jimmy Garoppolo in the lineup, it is hard to imagine Nick Mullens producing a repeat of last season’s shootout.

The Saints’ offense demonstrated that the reports of their demise are exaggerated with a strong performance against the Buccaneers last week. They can attack teams in so many ways, and it is tough to see the 49ers’ defense having an answer. This could be yet another messy day for the 49ers while the Saints are left celebrating another big win.

NFL Week 10 Picks and Prediction: Saints 31, 49ers 13

    Sunday Night Football

Baltimore Ravens (-6.5) at New England Patriots

Time and Channel: 8:20 PM EST, NBC

There was a lot of excitement for this game when the schedule was announced. However, the performance of both teams has somewhat lowered the excitement level. The most intriguing part of this game is how the Patriots approach facing Lamar Jackson. However, even if they keep the Ravens to around 20 points, I am not sure Cam Newton can lead this offense to a win in this matchup.

NFL Week 10 Picks, Predictions, & Odds: Ravens 24, Patriots 17

    Monday Night Football

Minnesota Vikings (-2.5) at Chicago Bears

Time and Channel: 8:15 PM EST, ESPN

A battle of two teams heading in different directions rounds out Week 10. The Vikings have been dominant in recent weeks and have a favorable schedule over the next month. If they win this one, they could easily be entering Week 14 at 7-5 with an outside shot of the playoffs.

The Bears need to use this game to get their offense back on track. The Vikings secondary can be vulnerable, but the questions are really around whether Nick Foles can make the most of those opportunities. Look for the Vikings to get up early and use Dalvin Cook to put this game out of reach in a similar way they have their last two.

NFL Week 10 Picks, Predictions, & Odds: Vikings 27, Bears 17
