Tom Brady will be one of the most pivotal talking points at the NFL‘s Fall League Meeting being held in New York City today. The former QB’s bid to become a part owner of the Las Vegas Raiders is set to be on the docket.
The former New England Patriots quarterback has been vying to get inside the owner’s circle for some time. One NFL insider present at the meeting highlights Brady’s time to be a minority owner is almost here.
Tom Brady Is Set To Own a Piece of the Las Vegas Raiders
The seven-time Super Bowl winner has stepped away from the gridiron but maintains his grip on the game. He started his $375 million broadcasting gig with Fox this season and is now set to become a part owner also.
One senior NFL reporter present in NYC at the NFL’s meeting took to X (formerly Twitter) and reported Brady’s eventual stake will be 5% in the deal. However, other people close to Brady are also set to own a piece of the pie.
“Here at the NFL’s Fall Meeting, and one of the last agenda items is the sale of a piece of the Raiders—Roughly 5% going to Tom Brady, 5% to Brady’s business partner Tom Wagner, and 0.5% going to Brady’s ex-teammate Richard Seymour, I’m told.
“Vote should happen late afternoon,” tweeted the NFL insider.

Wagner is Brady’s partner in his ownership of the English soccer team Birmingham City F.C. Meanwhile, former Patriots and Raiders defensive end Seymour has maintained a friendship with Brady after departing from Foxborough, Mass., in 2009.
This 5% ownership for Brady contrasts with Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay’s comments last year when he suggested around 10% of the Raiders being offered to Brady. However, this 10% could’ve been the cumulative ownership of the Brady group.
Restrictions on Brady Due To Being the Owner of the Raiders
In their previous meeting, while the ownership details of the 15-time Pro Bowler were being discussed, the league had put sanctions on Brady. These restrictions were due to his broadcasting job with Fox.
Under these restrictions, Brady will be able to broadcast the Raiders’ games. However, he will not be allowed to attend broadcast production meetings and will not have access to team facilities or players and coaching personnel. Brady must also abide by the league constitution and bylaws prohibiting public criticism of officials and other clubs.
Brady will broadcast the Super Bowl rematch between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers on Oct. 20.
