Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs was charged with misdemeanor battery and misdemeanor criminal damage to property (both Class A misdemeanors) on Thursday. The Packers running back was arrested three months ago following an alleged incident of domestic violence.
On Friday, head coach Matt LaFleur announced that despite the charges against the running back, Jacobs would still be part of the team. NFL fans, though, were none too pleased by LaFleur’s announcement.

One fan was disgusted by the Packers’ decision to keep Jacobs on the team as he deals with the charges.

Another was deeply disappointed with LaFleur’s announcement.

One person slammed the NFL for ignoring domestic violence charges against players.
Zachary Keaton, meanwhile, was brutal in his assessment of LaFleur for keeping Jacobs on the team.

One fan, though, wasn’t that stunned by LaFleur’s update on Jacobs.
The orgs in any case like this always say “we will stand by our player and look forward to the facts in this matter being handled in court at a later date. We will comment no further on this topic at this time.”

Another fan called for the release of the video clip of the Jacobs incident.
“Release the tapes!” The fan demanded.
The Packers could still be without Jacobs this season since the NFL does not have to wait for the conclusion of the legal process to suspend the running back.
The running back won a national championship with the Alabama Crimson Tide before being selected No. 24 overall in the 2019 NFL Draft by the Oakland Raiders (now the Las Vegas Raiders). Jacobs joined the Packers in 2024 after five seasons with the Raiders.
In his seven-year NFL career, Jacobs has earned three Pro Bowl selections and one First-team All-Pro nod. He led the NFL in rushing yards in 2022.
Last season, Jacobs earned a PFN Running Back Impact score of 76.5 (No. 16 in the NFL) after tallying 929 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns on 234 carries, adding 282 receiving yards on 36 receptions.
