NFL Inactives Tonight: Raiders-Broncos Injury Report, Latest on Marvin Mims Jr. and Patrick Surtain II, Starting Lineups for TNF

With a chance for the Denver Broncos to strengthen their hold over the AFC West against the Las Vegas Raiders, who is injury and who will start?

The Denver Broncos have surprised almost everyone with the success they’ve had this season. A slow start to the year has been immediately followed by a dominant stretch of football where they’ve continually been able to get over the hump to take a commanding lead in the AFC West with a 7-2 record.

However, the job is only halfway done for a team that is hoping to achieve big things in the second year of the Bo Nix-Sean Payton combo. Their next test is a game that they should be able to handle when they face the two-win Las Vegas Raiders team. However, divisional games can be tricky, especially since Denver is not at 100% heading into the game.

The biggest missing piece for the Broncos is unquestionably going to be last year’s Defensive Player of the Year, Pat Surtain II. But, for a unit that has ranked as the best on PFSN’s Defense Impact for the second consecutive season, they should be able to overcome his absence.

A larger focus, though, is going to be on the offense, which hasn’t shown enough consistency to buy stock in it. Against a porous Raiders defense, though, is the perfect chance for Nix to finally let loose and put together a complete performance for the full duration of the four quarters.

After trading Jakobi Meyers at the trade deadline to the Jacksonville Jaguars, it seems like Las Vegas is waiving the proverbial white flag on the season. Despite high expectations for the Geno Smith-Pete Carroll pairing, especially with a new ownership group featuring Tom Brady, the end result hasn’t been significantly different from years past.
