Favorites for Each Award
As the NFL regular season came to a close, the MVP race quickly became a two-man contest between Rams QB Matthew Stafford and Patriots QB Drake Maye. Despite Maye ranking second among all QBs in  PFSN’s QB Impact Metric, Stafford (No. 6) still earned All-Pro first-team honors and remains a heavy MVP favorite according to multiple sportsbooks.
The Defensive Player of the Year race, as well, appears to be a lock. Myles Garrett set the NFL’s single-season sack record this year, with 23.0, likely securing the DPOY in the process.
The same goes for the Offensive Player of the Year and the Comeback Player of the Year award. Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who helped lead the Seahawks to the NFC’s top seed, also posted 1,793 receiving yards, leading the OPOY list.

Christian McCaffrey, as well, having recorded 17 total touchdowns, despite coming off multiple injuries, seems to be a lock for the Comeback Player of the Year.
On the other hand, the Offensive and Defensive Rookie of the Year races are much more uncertain. Saints QB Tyler Shough and Panthers WR Tetairoa McMillan headline the offensive rookies, while Carson Schwesinger and Nick Emmanwori lead the first-year defensive players.
Of all the awards, the Coach of the Year award appears to be the closest race. Ben Johnson and Liam Coen have both been excellent as rookie head coaches, while Mike Vrabel, Kyle Shanahan, and Mike Macdonald have all exceeded expectations this season.
Without a doubt, it will be worth tuning in to see which superstars and which coaches take home these highly regarded awards during tonight’s ceremony.
