NFL Games Friday: Bengals at Washington prediction

With Joe Burrow already ruled out of the second preseason game, it is no surprise Washington is a heavy favorite in today’s NFL game. While the Ryan Fitzpatrick and Taylor Heinicke combination is not exactly the most terrifying pairing, it is an improvement over Brandon Allen and Kyle Shurmur.

However, be aware, not many people were giving the Bengals much chance of traveling into Tampa Bay and coming away with a victory. They did just that, and there is plenty for this team to prove as they fight for spots up and down the roster.

Current NFL odds have this game with one of the lowest totals of the week at 34.5, and it is easy to see why. Last week, they combined for 32 points against tough defenses. Both will have tough tests against the opposing defense again in Week 2.

NFL Games Friday: Chiefs at Cardinals prediction

This is a tough game to call without knowing exactly how many snaps we see from various players. Kyler Murray is expected to play, but with a light workload. Patrick Mahomes is expected to play a little more than in Week 1, but not significantly so.

Therefore, a lot could depend on what we see for those QBs fighting for roster spots and the backup roles. The Chiefs are currently slight favorites, but this one really could go either way.

The total is currently the highest of the week at over 40 with many sportsbooks. That seems high, given both teams played in games where less than 40 points were scored last week. If we had a chance to see Mahomes and Murray for more than a quarter, 40 points would very much be in play, but this feels like an NFL game to look at the under today.
