With the victory, the Dolphins improved to 4-7 in their first 11 games, which has them as the third-place team in the AFC East.
Following the Commanders, the Dolphins will return to Miami to host the New Orleans Saints on November 30.
Tua Tagovailoa is expected to remain the Miami Dolphins’ QB next season as team owner Stephen Ross wants to keep Mike McDaniel in 2026, per @RapSheet.

Tagovailoa was the first pick in the 2020 NFL Draft out of Alabama.
He is in his sixth season (all with the Dolphins).
