With the loss, the 49ers dropped to 6-4 in 10 games, which has them as the third-place team in the NFC West. Ahead of this week, Jones had been having a decent year replacing Brock Purdy. He sat 14th on the season in PFSN’s QB Impact Metric, with a solid 78.6 grade.
They are 2-2 in the four games they have played at home in San Francisco.
Following the Rams, the 49ers will play their next game on Sunday when they visit the Arizona Cardinals.

Jones was the 15th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft out of Alabama. He spent the first four seasons of his career with the New England Patriots and Jacksonville Jaguars.
