‘Shedeur Would Look Good in Aqua’ — NFL Fans Predict Dolphins Will Trade for Shedeur Sanders Amid Rumors of QB Move

With the Miami Dolphins on the lookout for more quarterbacks, fans believe Shedeur Sanders could be the perfect choice.

The Shedeur Sanders saga with the Cleveland Browns has gone on for over a year. After going against both Joe Flacco and Dillon Gabriel for the QB1 spot last year, he finally got the nod for the final seven games of the year.

This year, he had to go through the process again, but lost out to Deshaun Watson. Now sitting as the backup on the depth chart, fans believe he could have a better future if he finds a new home with the Miami Dolphins.

Fans Want Shedeur Sanders With the Dolphins

This offseason, the Dolphins embraced a full reset of the franchise. Parting ways with Tua Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill, and Jaylen Waddle, they also moved on from head coach Mike McDaniel to start afresh.

But their teardown has continued deep into the summer. After trading Quinn Ewers, waiving Cam Miller and Mark Gronowski, at one point, the team was left with just Malik Willis at quarterback

From there, it seemed imminent that they would bring more quarterbacks. A lot of fans in Miami, though, have already made up their minds that Sanders could be perfect for that spot.

Tom Moore was subtle with his reference, claiming, “Shedeur would look good in aqua,” as his intentions were all but clear.

Others saw the viability of Sanders being the new quarterback on the roster, as one fan immediately claimed, “Shedeur Sanders.”

For others, the clearing up of the QB depth seemed to indicate just one thing. One fan excitedly exclaimed, “Shedeur omg.”

However, those dreams quickly went down the drain as the Dolphins finally made a trade for quarterback depth.

Only, it was from the Green Bay Packers, as insider Adam Schefter revealed. “Trade: Packers are sending QB Kyle McCord to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for a 2028 6th-round pick, per sources.”

The news immediately poured water on the possibility of Sanders going to the Dolphins. Given that they are embracing a new timeline with Willis, whom they brought in on a three-year deal with the potential upside that he brings, the move for the second-year QB wouldn’t make sense anyway.

Adding a similar player, in terms of their standing in the league and the trajectory of their career so far, would be unnecessary drama the team would want to avoid. Instead, bringing in a backup like McCord should stabilize the room to some extent.

As for Sanders, who ranked as the second-worst quarterback in the league last season on PFN’s QB Impact Metric, he will wait for his opportunity in Cleveland behind Watson.
