Several Dallas Cowboys fans see Coach Prime's son, Shedeur Sanders, as a solution to franchise's troubled times.

The Dallas Cowboys are in deep trouble this season. NFL fans are questioning what’s next for America’s Team after their latest defeat against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 9. With a 3-5 record, Dallas now faces troubled times, and playoff hopes seem distant.

Fans Want Cowboys To Take Extreme Measures To Land Shedeur Sanders

However, some Cowboys fans are already looking past this rocky season. They are urging the front office to accept their fate for this season and move on to planning for the next season.

Their goal? Land Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders, the rising star of college football and son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Social media was buzzing with fans’ calls for the Cowboys to throw in the towel. One passionate fan even wrote on X: “Dallas Cowboys need to just tank and draft Shedeur Sanders to revitalize their franchise.”

The situation in Dallas is ripe for a major shakeup, especially with Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb now sidelined due to injuries. Another chimed in, suggesting, “Shedeur to the Cowboys and Dak to the Browns.”

Fans hope that Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones makes bold moves to secure the young talent to become the NFL’s next face.

“With the 11th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Dallas Cowboys select QB Colorado, Shedeur Sanders,” wrote one fan.

“With the 2nd pick in the NFL draft the Dallas cowboys select Shedeur Sanders,” commented another on a tweet by Sanders.

Many even dream of a future with Coach Prime leading the team.

But for that dream to become a reality, as one fan wrote: “Dak Prescott is heading to the IR. Cowboys season is done. Shedeur Sanders will get drafted by the Dallas Cowboys and sit a year behind Dak Prescott. The Cowboys will then hire Deion Sanders as their next head coach once the Cowboys trade Dak Prescott to the Jets after Aaron Rodgers retires because the Jets will do Jets things and try to keep hope alive. Sounds good enough for a movie script?”

Dallas is left relying on backup Cooper Rush without their star QB and top wide receiver. Unfortunately, Rush has shown limitations in past games, and with Micah Parsons still out, the Cowboys are stretched thin.

Dallas will soon face the red-hot Philadelphia Eagles, the Washington Commanders, and the Houston Texans — all of which will likely result in more losses. If the Cowboys finish at the bottom of the standings, they might have a shot at the No. 1 pick.

But fans know they’ll need to go beyond just losing games. They may have to out-lose the New York Giants, their Thanksgiving Day opponent, and another team eyeing a top pick.

Sanders has been riding his luck at Colorado under his father’s coaching. Having registered 2,591 yards and 21 touchdowns to his name already (as per ESPN), it’s clear why Cowboys fans want him in Dallas.

Jones and the Cowboys may need to make some calculated moves that could shape the franchise’s future.
