After a successful start to the NFL season, it’s time for the Week 2 NFL coverage map. CBS gets the late-afternoon doubleheader, with FOX opting to air a standalone matchup. Let’s take a look at what games are available where.
NFL Coverage Map for Week 2
The people at 506 Sports provide fans with weekly NFL coverage maps. They color-code the maps based on where each game will air across the major networks, and these maps are subject to change during the week.
CBS Early-Game NFL TV Coverage Map
- Red: New York Jets at Tennessee Titans
Ian Eagle, Charles Davis
Week 1 was a disaster for both the Jets and Titans. While, at times, it looked like QB Aaron Rodgers and the Jets were putting it together, a drive would stall, or a turnover would ensue. Heading into this one, Aaron Rodgers has lost three of his past four games as a road favorite, reaching 200 passing yards just once over that stretch.
Offensive production won’t get any easier this Sunday against a Tennessee defense that held Chicago to just 2.8 yards per play. All eyes are on Levis as last week’s meltdown turned up the heat. Since Week 10 of last season, Levis has four games with 17+ completions and under 200 passing yards, tying Bryce Young for the most such games over that stretch.
- Blue: San Francisco 49ers at Minnesota Vikings
Kevin Harlan, Trent Green
After an offseason full of questions for the 49ers and Vikings, Week 1 went about as well as anyone could’ve hoped. Despite RB Christian McCaffrey being a surprise scratch, San Francisco’s offense dominated, with backup Jordan Mason seizing his starting opportunity. Brock Purdy has covered five straight games as a road favorite. In those games, he’s completed 71.3% of his passes with 14 TDs and 1 INT (132.3 Passer Rating).
As for the Vikings, quarterback Sam Darnold looked good in his Minnesota debut. Last week, the Vikings won a September road game for the first time since Week 3 of 2016 when they took down Cam Newton in Carolina. How will he perform against the NFC’s best after taking down the Giants in Week 1?
- Green: Las Vegas Raiders at Baltimore Ravens
Andrew Catalon, Tiki Barber
The Ravens came inches away from a season-opening upset over the Kansas City Chiefs. However, a win should be more straightforward to come by in Week 2 against a struggling Raiders franchise.
Las Vegas’ offense was poor, and the defense couldn’t slow down the Chargers. All around, it was a bad day. The Raiders only ran one play in the red zone last week; bad news going up against the Ravens, who were the second-best red-zone defense in the NFL last season.
- Yellow: Los Angeles Chargers at Carolina Panthers
Tom McCarthy, Jay Feely
The season couldn’t have started better for the Chargers, getting a Week 1 divisional win in Jim Harbaugh’s first game as head coach. The same cannot be said for the Panthers, who got destroyed by the Saints 47-10.
While the Chargers have lost five straight Week 2 matchups, it would be astonishing to see them drop this one after the product Carolina put on the field in Week 1. Despite running 55 offensive plays, Carolina did not have one player with 50 receiving yards or 25 rushing yards.
- Orange: Cleveland Browns at Jacksonville Jaguars
Chris Lewis, Jason McCourty
Week 1 was not the result the Browns’ front office wanted to see, as quarterback DeShaun Watson and the offense struggled to do much against the Dallas Cowboys. Watson posted a pocket passer rating of 56.3, well below his 90.8 average from last season.
The Jaguars hope to take advantage of Cleveland’s offensive struggles after letting the Miami Dolphins complete a second-half comeback. While the Jaguars looked good, Travis Etienne’s fumbling issues haunt Jacksonville. Trevor Lawrence earned a “C” in our custom QB grading scale last week, an average grade, but a big advantage over the “D-” that Watson earned (only Caleb Williams graded worse)

- Red: Cincinnati Bengals at Kansas City Chiefs
Jim Nantz, Tony Romo
After losing to the New England Patriots in Week 1, will this matchup have the competitiveness NFL fans expected before the season? While Cincinnati’s offense showed evident rust from limited preseason snaps, the overall performance in the season opener was sloppy.
The Chiefs looked like a well-oiled machine. The offense fired on all cylinders, and Patrick Mahomes fired off passes to old and new targets alike. If Kansas City looks like this in Week 1, seeing how they progress through the season will be interesting.
- Blue: Pittsburgh Steelers at Denver Broncos
Spero Dedes, Adam Archuleta
Justin Fields looked promising in his Pittsburgh Steelers debut, and given the trending injury report, he might play again against the Broncos this Sunday. While still more dangerous with his legs than his arm, the Steelers were able to string together six scoring drives, all ending in field goals.
Bo Nix struggled in his NFL debut, throwing two interceptions, but he also showed some versatility, rushing for 35 yards and a touchdown. If Denver can get in the end zone, that might be enough to down Pittsburgh.
FOX Early-Game NFL TV Coverage Map
- Red: New Orleans Saints at Dallas Cowboys
Kevin Burkhardt, Tom Brady
New Orleans came out swinging in Week 1, dropping 47 points on Carolina. After a rough 2023 campaign with limited offensive success, the scoring outburst was a promising sight for the 2024 season.
However, it’s not easy to go into Dallas and win. Over the past three seasons, the Cowboys are 17-8 against the spread at home (second-best in the NFL) and are currently 6.5-point favorites.
- Orange: Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Detroit Lions
Kevin Kugler, Daryl Johnston
Baker Mayfield continued rehabilitating his image with another great start under center for the Buccaneers. He posted a perfect passer rating on deep passes last week, and while Washington was the worst downfield defense last season, Tampa’s next four opponents didn’t fair much better either.
Detroit may struggle a bit on defense, but they relish the chance to play at home. The Lions allowed pressure 80% of the time when the Rams blitzed on Sunday night – the Bucs are the 3rd blitz heaviest defense since the beginning of last season. Since the start of the 2023 season, the Lions have allowed 13.6% fewer yards per play at home. Also, since December 2022, Detroit has gone 10-2 at Ford Field in the regular season.
- Blue: Indianapolis Colts at Green Bay Packers
Joe Davis, Greg Olsen
What a return from second-year QB Anthony Richardson. While not a perfect outing, the former Florida Gator uncorked two incredible TD passes that left football fans with their jaws agape.
With more snaps and time, the Colts should have one of the most thrilling options under center. As for the Packers, fans can rest easy knowing that Jordan Love will be back in a few weeks; for now, it’s the Malik Willis show.
- Green: Seattle Seahawks at New England Patriots
Kenny Albert, Jonathan Vilma
The Seahawks won Week 1 despite losing the time of possession battle, a theme for them over the past few games. While both franchises struggled in this area in 2023, New England held onto the ball for 34:03 in Jerod Mayo’s first NFL win over the Bengals in Week 1. Jacoby Brissett spread the ball around last week (six players saw 3-6 targets, but no Patriot cleared 31 receiving yards.
The Seahawks’ offense flowed better, but quarterback Geno Smith and Seattle will need to hold the ball and be efficient to take down an inferior Patriots roster.
- Teal: New York Giants at Washington Commanders
Chris Myers, Mark Schlereth
The final early game in FOX’s coverage features an NFC East battle between the Giants and Commanders. New York would like to forget about its Week 1 loss to Minnesota, as the team struggled to do anything right.
The same cannot be said for Washington, who saw rookie QB Jayden Daniels make the most of his situation, rushing for 88 yards and two touchdowns.
FOX Late-Game NFL TV Coverage
- Yellow: Los Angeles Rams at Arizona Cardinals
Adam Amin, Mark Sanchez
FOX’s standalone late-afternoon coverage features the Rams and Cardinals facing off in State Farm Stadium. The Rams pushed the Lions to overtime last Sunday night but, in the end, fell just short.
The same could be said for Arizona, who made a valiant effort against Buffalo but couldn’t finish the job. Week 1 should tell the NFC West that the Cardinals are not the same team from last season and will be a much more formidable opponent.
NFL Week 2 National TV Broadcasts
Thursday Night
Buffalo Bills at Miami Dolphins (Prime Video)
A possible postseason rematch early on sees the Bills and Dolphins facing off fresh off comeback wins. Both teams struggled to get going early; however, Josh Allen had an excuse. The offseason radically changed the receiving corps, as rookie WR Keon Coleman led the team with four receptions and 51 yards.
Miami’s high-powered offense took some time to get going, but it eventually emerged with an 80-yard TD pass to Tyreek Hill. They won’t have RB Raheem Mostert, and De’Von Achane will be hampered even if he’s able to go. Miami will need to get out to a quick start to get a win against Allen, who looks to be in mid-season form.
Sunday Night
Chicago Bears at Houston Texans (NBC)
Sunday Night Football features a matchup between two young faces of the NFL. Bears rookie QB Caleb Williams had a rough start to the season and will hope to bounce back as the weeks go on. Meanwhile, C.J. Stroud picked up right where he left off last season while enjoying contributions from new additions like WR Stefon Diggs and RB Joe Mixon. They should be able to continue rolling in Week 2.
Monday Night
Atlanta Falcons at Philadelphia Eagles (ESPN)
The week’s final game features the Eagles hosting the Falcons at Lincoln Financial Field. Kirk Cousins didn’t look great in his Falcons debut, as he struggled to get the ball out on many occasions. It’s a frightening thought when Atlanta is set to play a ferocious Philadelphia defense.
Will Cousins be able to withstand the pressure? RB Saquon Barkley was a force to be reckoned with and might tear the Falcons’ defense in half.
