ESPN NFL Analyst Benjamin Solak gave a bold take on Seattle Seahawks running back and Super Bowl LX MVP Kenneth Walker III’s free agency market on social media. He was at the NFL Scouting Combine and watched film to share his take on the league’s top free agents.
Solak’s Bold Take on Walker III’s Free Agency Market
Walker III was outstanding on the field during the Seahawks’ 2025 postseason run. Proving the running back’s dominance on the field, PFSN’s Cooper Kleinberg highlighted that “Across three playoff games, Walker averaged 4.8 yards per carry, 104.3 rushing yards per game, 34.7 receiving yards per game, and 4 total touchdowns.”
In 2025, the Super Bowl MVP rushed for 1,027 yards and grabbed 31 receptions. In addition, Walker III averaged 4.6 yards per carry and scored 5 rush touchdowns, and ranked 20th on PFSN’s Running Back Impact metrics.
On Super Bowl 60, Walker III rushed for 135 yards on 27 carries, and caught 2 passes for 26 yards, totaling 161 scrimmage yards.
Solak gave his bold take on Walker III’s free agency market, explaining that he spoke to people on the last day of the NFL Scouting Combine and watched film. He mentioned five free agents whom he projects to have big pay days, and Walker III was one of them, saying, “I think everybody saw Super Bowl MVP and said, ‘Oh, he’ll go from like 10 million per year to 12 million per year.’
He didn’t mention any specific individuals who made that assessment, but Solak addressed Breece Hall’s free agency market value, making a prediction that Hall will get tagged at some point.
The analyst explained, “But if Breece Hall gets tagged, which I think he will, then Walker III is the best free agent running back available in terms [of] like juice and explosive play ability and this draft class does not have a lot of fans. So I think there is going to be a bidding war, and I would not be surprised if he’s a top-five paid running back by the time it’s all said and done.”
It remains to be seen whether Walker III will stay with the Seahawks or pursue options with another team. However, in speaking about his future with Seattle, Walker III said that he would like to stay with the team, according to Kevin Patra at NFL.com.
Walker said, “I’ve been here four years, so you know I’ve gotten to know a lot of stuff about Seattle, and you know a lot of the city, and I feel like they feel good about me as well, so if it was my choice, though, I’d definitely stay.”
The Seahawks will have a bit to ponder the running back’s future with the team
