Aaron Rodgers is taking on some familiar faces on primetime. It is the first time in his career that he faces the Green Bay Packers after spending 18 seasons with Green Bay. Unfortunately for Packer fans, the game is not at Lambeau and a return to Green Bay has yet to happen. For now, Rodgers has his eyes set on taking down the Packers and was not happy with DK Metcalf for not reeling in a potential touchdown catch.
NFL analyst Skip Bayless chimed in, too, taking a shot at Rodgers for gesturing at Metcalf following the incompletion.
Why Did Skip Bayless Rip Into Aaron Rodgers?
Rodgers was pacing around and visibly frustrated after his pass to Metcalf fell incomplete. He had his hands up and was screaming in anger.

Bayless took to social media to go after Rodgers for his behavior. The veteran columnist is often critical and vocal about his opinions, and Rodgers was no exception to a Bayless shot.
“Classic Aaron Rodgers: showing up DK Metcalf with mad gestures for not hauling in that TD pass broken up by Valentine,” said Bayless.

Showing up your teammate is never well received, but Rodgers didn’t go up to Metcalf directly and get in his face. It didn’t matter for Bayless, who still jumped at the opportunity to speak his mind and stir up some drama about Rodgers. Bayless referred to this behavior as classic Rodgers behavior.
The Steelers are still playing well despite Rodgers and Metcalf’s near-touchdown catch. They have a lead in the second quarter, and their defense is playing well. If Rodgers and the offense can start firing on all cylinders, their chances of winning will be much higher than they are right now.
Rodgers has been an excellent addition for the Steelers. Before the Sunday night game, the Steelers (4–2) led the AFC North by 1.5 games over the Bengals (3–5). If Pittsburgh wins tonight, that would become a 2.0-game lead. Rodgers has been a big addition to the offense, which has struggled to find an answer at quarterback to lead them to success. While only a playoff win would make Steelers fans happy, they will be pleased with Pittsburgh’s start.
The Steelers’ offense is ranked 10th in PFSN’s Offense Impact score with an 81.6 grade. They need to keep that unit going as the game continues if they want to take down the one-loss Packers. It won’t be easy, but if Rodgers and Metcalf get their connection rolling again, it could be tough for the Packers to stop.
