CeeDee Lamb’s 2025 season has been a rollercoaster, and his struggles with dropped passes are taking a toll on the Dallas Cowboys’ offense. In Week 12 against the Philadelphia Eagles, Lamb yet again dropped multiple passes, prompting one NFL analyst to deliver a scathing critique.
NFL Analyst Slams CeeDee Lamb Over Dropped Passes
Lamb’s 2025 season has been off to a rocky start, and Week 12 against the Philadelphia Eagles offered little relief. He began the season by dropping four passes in the opener against the same opponent, and heading into Sunday’s game, his catch percentage was a career-low 65.6%, a stat that came back to haunt him.
During the game, Lamb dropped multiple passes, prompting veteran analyst Skip Bayless to fire off sharp criticism.
“Not a great throw by Dak …. BUT COME ON, CEEDEE, ANOTHER DROP AGAINST THE EAGLES AFTER FOUR IN THE OPENER??? JUST UNACCEPTABLE. MAYBE YOU NEED AN EARLIER CURFEW SO YOU CAN GET MORE SLEEP,” he wrote.

Bayless was referencing a Week 11 incident when Lamb and George Pickens were benched at the start of the game for missing team curfew at Red Rock Casino. While Pickens has had similar issues before, this was a rare misstep for Lamb, who entered the season as the Cowboys’ WR1.
Due to inconsistency and injuries, Pickens has shouldered much of the offensive load and currently leads the team. Heading into Sunday, Pickens had 909 receiving yards and seven touchdowns on 59 receptions, ranking third in PFSN’s WR Impact metric.
Lamb, by contrast, had 40 receptions for 557 yards and just two touchdowns, ranking 14th in the same metric, drawing criticism from fans as well.

Regarding the Week 11 benching, it was a coach’s decision and both receivers eventually entered the game after the opening drive, combining for 210 receiving yards and two touchdowns, helping snap a two-game losing streak and moving the Cowboys to 4–5–1.
However, in Sunday’s game, Pickens had dominated the first half, catching all five of his targets for 47 yards and a touchdown, while Lamb had only three catches on six targets for 27 yards.

The Cowboys trailed 21–7 at halftime and are trending toward their sixth loss of the season. Fortunately, with the Washington Commanders and the New York Giants nearly out of playoff contention, Dallas will retain second place in the NFC East, regardless of the outcome.
