If NFL fans are hoping to see their favorite teams make key roster moves, whether to strengthen their lineup or prepare for next season, then the Nov. 4 NFL trade deadline is the date to watch.
The 2025 NFL season is shaping up to feature one of the most active trade deadlines in recent memory, as teams look to fill needs ranging from running backs to defensive reinforcements..
What NFL Teams Might Be Involved In Trades?
For instance, the Los Angeles Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs desperately need some help at running back. The Chargers lost Najee Harris for the season in Week 3 with a torn Achilles, and Omarion Hampton is on injured reserve.
The Chiefs are apparently reaching out and contacting teams for some backfield help as well, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport. According to the PFSN NFL Offense Impact metrics, the Chiefs, behind quarterback Patrick Mahomes, have an Offense Impact Score of 83.7 and grade out at B.
The Jacksonville Jaguars, who are coming off an impressive 31-28 victory against the Chiefs on “Sunday Night Football,” have been making some trades, too. Rapoport indicated that the Jaguars are in the hunt for some help along their defensive line.
What about the Philadelphia Eagles, who were soundly beaten by quarterback Jaxson Dart, running back Cam Skattebo, and the New York Giants 34-17 on “Monday Night Football”? General manager Howie Roseman might kick the tires on some help at cornerback or edge, according to Rapoport.
Speaking of the Giants, they wouldn’t mind picking up another wide receiver with Malik Nabers gone for the year with a knee injury. They might be willing to part with quarterback Russell Wilson, who is now the backup to Dart.
