Cleveland Browns fans are done with head coach Kevin Stefanski.
The fanbase was already growing tired with Stefanski earlier in the regular season, but the loss to the Tennessee Titans put the nail in the coffin. Trailing by eight points with roughly a minute to go in the fourth quarter, rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders threw a touchdown pass. Instead of trusting Sanders on the game-tying two-point conversion, Stefanski sidelined the 23-year-old, and the wildcat play failed.
A recent video surfacing has fans wondering if the Browns’ ownership has already found their next head coach.
Could the Browns Team Up Shedeur Sanders and Deion Sanders?
Prior to the Titans-Browns game, the father of the Browns’ signal caller and NFL legend Deion Sanders met up with Cleveland’s owner Jimmy Haslam. The two exchanged a brief conversation, which included much laughter.
This sparked quite the absurd idea among fans about the possibility of Sanders becoming the Browns’ next head coach if Stefanski is fired.
@Andydman99: “NEXT BROWNS HEAD COACH????????”
@BangaloDilliss: “He’d be the best possible coaching option for Shedeur and the Browns”
@macofwva: “JIMMY MADE THE CALL LETS GOOOOOO”
@DrWoodfunk: “Ladies and gentlemen, the next Browns head coach.”
Sanders is the head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes. Since taking over in 2023, the Buffaloes have records of 4-8, 9-4, and 3-9. Although the records are rough, there’s no denying the culture Sanders has built in Colorado. Not to mention, the spotlight that comes with having the Hall of Fame cornerback leading the charge.
The Browns’ offense ranks No. 32 in PFSN’s metrics, while the defense comes in at No. 4, so it’s clear the offense is in desperate need of help. The odds Cleveland would seriously consider hiring Sanders are slim, but with the headlines and culture the father-son duo would bring to the Browns, it’s not impossible.
