Dallas Mavericks had put out a “bounty” for Flagg’s one-of-one numbered rookie debut patch autograph card. The much-coveted memorabilia was discovered in Rhode Island on Monday, sparking reactions across the NBA community.

Members of RhodyBreakers, a division of Baseball Cards of Rhode Island that opens trading card boxes for customers during livestreams, pulled Flagg’s card during one of their recent streams.
The discovery came only days after the Mavericks announced a “1 of 1 for 32” prize for the card, offering the eventual finder two premium lower-level season tickets for 32 years, along with a collection of exclusive memorabilia and experiences.

The discovery quickly caught the attention of the NBA world.

“It’s been found,” ESPN’s Kevin Negandhi wrote with a snap with Flagg.
Flagg personally signed the card during Fanatics Fest last month. The card is considered extraordinarily valuable because it combines Flagg’s signature with a patch from his NBA debut.
Given Flagg’s status as one of the NBA’s brightest young stars, pulling the card from a standard pack is comparable to hitting a life-changing lottery jackpot.
Geoff Wilson, the founder of Sports Cards Investor, previously told ESPN that the card could potentially command as much as $5 million.
“When Paul Skenes’ sold for $1.11 million last year, that really opened collectors up to the potential of rookie debut patch autograph cards,” Wilson said. “I said when Flagg has one and it sells, it’ll exceed that, maybe $1.5 million.”
The massive potential value sparked plenty of reactions, with some speculating what the lucky cardholder could do next.

“Another larper pulled a grail who saw it coming,” one tweeted.
“IT LOOKS SO GOOD. Where is the signature? Is it the blue “Cooper Flagg” in cursive?” a user wondered.
The Mavericks selected Flagg with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, and he lived up to the enormous expectations by winning the NBA Rookie of the Year award amid an underwhelming season for the franchise as a whole (26-56).
Dallas’ package includes a VIP tour of the team’s practice facility and a meet-and-greet with players, a private basketball experience for up to 10 people at American Airlines Center, and an all-expenses-paid road trip to see the Mavs play the Boston Celtics.
The offer is certainly interesting, but it is largely tailored toward the franchise supporters and does not include a direct cash payment.
That has raised a big question: Will the person who pulled Flagg’s rookie card actually be willing to send it to Dallas in exchange for the package?
