Elden Campbell last played in the NBA during the 2004-05 season when he was a member of the New Jersey Nets and Detroit Pistons.
On Wednesday, the heartbreaking news that the 2004 NBA Champion had passed away was announced.
Elden Campbell Passes Away At 57
Campbell was the 27th pick in the 1990 NBA Draft out of Clemson.
He spent the first nine seasons of his career with the Los Angeles Lakers before stints with the Charlotte Hornets, Detroit Pistons, New Jersey Nets, Seattle SuperSonics and New Orleans Hornets.
His career averages were 10.3 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists per contest while shooting 46.0% from the field in 1,044 games.

Los Angeles Lakers Legend Magic Johnson Reacts To Elden Campbell News
Following the heartbreaking news, NBA legend Magic Johnson sent out a post (via X).
Johnson wrote: “I just received devastating news that my former Lakers teammate and friend Elden Campbell has passed away. He was such a gentle soul. As a basketball player, he was extremely athletic. I loved throwing lobs to Elden because he could jump out the gym and had so much talent! Cookie and I are praying for his family and Lakers Nation as they mourn during this difficult time. Rest in peace Big E!”
