Over the offseason, Chris Paul signed with the LA Clippers.
He had previously made five All-Star games with the franchise (during the prime of his career).
However, Paul is averaging just 2.9 points, 1.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists per contest while shooting 32.1% from the field in 16 games.

On Tuesday night, Chris Haynes reported the news that the Clippers and Paul are now parting ways.
Via Haynes: “BREAKING: Los Angeles Clippers are sending home future Hall of Fame point guard Chris Paul in a bizarre severing ties move, league sources tell me.”
Isaiah Thomas Reacts To Chris Paul News
Many people around the NBA world reacted to the shocking news on social media.
One person who sent out a post was former All-Star Isaiah Thomas.
His post had over 600 likes in one hour.

Paul was the fourth pick in the 2005 NBA Draft out of Wake Forest.
He has also spent time with the New Orleans Hornets, Phoenix Suns, Houston Rockets, Golden State Warriors, San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder.
His career averages are 16.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, 9.2 assists and 2.0 steals per contest while shooting 46.9% from the field and 37.0% from three-point range in 1,370 games.
Via Arash Markazi of The Sporting Tribune: “Blake Griffin wanted to retire a Clipper. Seven months after signing a five-year, $171 million deal to stay in L.A., the Clippers traded him to Detroit. Chris Paul wanted to retire a Clipper. Five months after coming home, the Clippers released him in the middle of the night.”
As for Thomas, he is most known for his time with the Boston Celtics where he made both of his All-Star Games.
The former Washington star last played in the league during the 2023-24 season.
His career averages are 17.5 points, 2.4 rebounds and 4.8 assists per contest while shooting 43.4% from the field and 36.3% from three-point range in 556 games.
