Myles Garrett continues to be one of the best players in the league, but his time with the Cleveland Browns hasn’t translated to on-field success. A recent rule change proposal could extend the trading period for draft picks, sparking speculation that the team’s best player could be on the move.
Philadelphia Eagles Discussed as Landing Spot in Possible Trade for Myles Garrett
There will be plenty of suitors for Garrett if he becomes available, and the Philadelphia Eagles are expected to be one of them. The Eagles reportedly tried to trade for Garrett early in 2025, but he wasn’t available at the time.
Craig Carton believes that, with the Browns hoping to extend the period for trading draft picks, a deal involving Garrett could be possible. He thinks the Eagles would be the ideal team for the superstar defender.
“I think Myles Garrett’s gonna get traded. The Cleveland Browns just re-did his deal. Garrett is getting traded. I’m fairly certain that the Browns are open for business.
“I don’t know if the Eagles have good enough number one picks… Philadelphia, to me, I think is the best destination, and I think they’ve got a chance to have the most dominating defensive line.”
IS MYLES GARRETT ABOUT TO BE TRADED TO THE EAGLES!?

The Eagles are likely to be in the market for a new edge rusher if the opportunity arises.
Philadelphia lost Jaelan Phillips in free agency after he signed a four-year deal with the Carolina Panthers. Although they signed Arnold Ebiketie, they still need to strengthen their pass-rushing group.
One expectation for the Eagles is the return of Brandon Graham. The veteran edge rusher declared after the season that he wanted to play in 2026, and he’s likely to sign a small contract with Philadelphia. Nolan Smith and Jalyx Hunt are projected starters in 2026.
Vic Fangio will return as defensive coordinator after contemplating retirement. PFSN’s Defense Impact Metric ranked the Eagles No. 7 in 2025, but they may struggle to replicate that production without a new star pass rusher.
Garrett, who broke the single-season sack record in 2025 with 23 sacks, might just be the perfect fit.
