‘Most Boring First Half in the History of Football’  — Commentators Argue the ‘Super Bowl Has Lost Its Luster’

A number of NFL observers were simply not happy with what they were seeing in Super Bowl 60 between the Seahawks and Patriots.

With the Seattle Seahawks holding a 9-0 halftime lead over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 60 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., on Sunday, some NFL observers are unhappy with what they’re seeing.

Seattle has its lead on the strength of three Jason Meyers field goals. The Patriots’ offense, behind quarterback Drake Maye, has not been effective against the Seahawks’ defense. In watching this battle for the Vince Lombardi Trophy take place, there are those watching at home who just don’t like it at all.

NFL Observers Are Knocking Super Bowl 60 Play

It’s Tha Bang Man simply put his thoughts about Super Bowl 60 into four words: “Boring a** super bowl”.

Journalist Jim Stinson was quite harsh in his comments about the game. Stinson posted on X, “1. This Super Bowl is boring. 2. Bad Bunny is obnoxious; he’s not the star of this show. 3. The Dunkin’ Donuts ad was the best thing so far.”

Rob Schmitt of Newsmax posted on X, “50,000 focus grouped lame commercials, a boring game and Bad Bunny. The Super Bowl has lost its luster.”

Matt Rooney, host of “The Matt Rooney Show,” shared his thoughts on the game, too.

Rooney posted on X, “Boring football game, boorish anti-American performers, unimaginative commercials. The @NFL (and Corporate America) could use the Super Bowl to unite our country. One of the last things that traditionally does. Didn’t even try this year. Back to the streaming channels for me.”

Anon added some thoughts on X, too, and wrote, “This might be one of the most boring Super Bowls in the past 20 years. Even the commercials are just mediocre tech shills.”

Brandon Walker of Barstool Sports wasn’t that happy with the play between the Patriots and Seahawks on the field. Walker posted on X, “Could be the most boring first half in the history of football.”

With the second half starting after Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show, some opinions might change. But it will take a second half filled with Super Bowl records to might change some people’s minds.
