Week 11 NFL Power Rankings & Week 10 NFL Recap
Before jumping into our coverage of tonight’s game, make sure to check out some of our other NFL articles. Pro Football Network’s Senior NFL Analyst Matt Williamson (former NFL Scout and ESPN Analyst) released his Week 10 Power Rankings following the Sunday Night Football game in Week 9. This week, Williamson has the Minnesota Vikings just cracking the top 20 due to Dalvin Cook’s explosive performance in the last couple of weeks. Meanwhile, the Chicago Bears sit just below average due to an offense that doesn’t seem capable of taking advantage of their stellar defense.
We also have Mike Tanier’s weekly NFL Recap, breaking down trending topics from Week 9’s action-packed slate. Tanier took a look at why Matt Nagy could be in trouble in Chicago, highlighted a play that sums up the Seattle Seahawks defense perfectly, and handed out his weekly awards, including an award for a play that should never be forgotten for all the wrong reasons!

Monday Night Football Tonight | Vikings vs Bears Game Preview
Don’t let their 3-5 record fool you; the Vikings are a talented team. They have two high-end receivers in Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson, Dalvin Cook is arguably the best running back in the NFL, and their defense is spearheaded by All-Pros like Harrison Smith and Eric Kendricks. They have some critical flaws in their team, but they’re more than capable of making the playoffs.
Kirk Cousins has been Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde this year. He has games where he looks like the franchise quarterback the Vikings are paying him to be, and then he has games where he looks like he shouldn’t be playing football professionally. The Vikings have won back-to-back games in major part because they’ve found a way to neutralize Cousin’s impact.
In both games, Cousins threw the ball 20 times or less. Meanwhile, Cook put up over 200 yards from scrimmage. That’s their formula for victory. If Cousins can limit his mistakes and the Vikings playmakers can dominate then that’s a wrap.
During Monday Night Football tonight, the Bears will try and counter the Vikings rushing attack with their elite defensive unit. The issue with that is they struggle against running backs, especially ones who can catch the ball. Alvin Kamara went off for over 150 yards from scrimmage against the Bears earlier this year. They’ll need to figure out how to shut down Cook; if they can’t, it’s going to be a long day.
Offensively, the Bears are going to try and move the ball, but it might be futile. They haven’t scored as many as 24 points since their 30 point outburst against the Falcons in Week 3.
The Vikings vs Bears matchup is all about how well Cook plays. If he explodes, the Vikings win; if he’s contained, it’s hard to see how the Bears lose.
Monday Night Football Tonight Score Prediction: Vikings win 17-14
