Florio explained that without a clear and definitive resolution, the cycle of speculation and reporting is likely to continue. He argued that the ongoing uncertainty is fueling the story’s longevity.
“Unless and until we get a clear, definitive answer, and this thing can fizzle out and die, it’s going to keep churning, because the outlets pushing this understand there’s value to it,” he said. “This has become a much bigger deal than it ever should have been.
