The Las Vegas Raiders added a massive player to the team with the sixth pick in the 2025 NFL Draft as they selected Boise State Broncos running back Ashton Jeanty. He has shown to be one of the most dominant running backs in recent times at the college level and finished in second place for the 2024 Heisman Trophy, despite being in a Group of Five program.
Jeanty is already turning heads for the Raiders organization as players are noticing his size and abilities on the field. One player’s reaction to the star rookie had Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons reacting in a hilarious way, but what exactly happened?
Micah Parsons Reacts to Brock Bowers’ Assessment of Ashton Jeanty
The Raiders are expecting a lot of excitement in the 2025 season as they have significantly bolstered their offense. The addition of Jeanty, along with quarterback Geno Smith and coach Pete Carroll, should have the team moving in the right direction. When asked about Jeanty, teammate tight end Brock Bowers described his first impressions of the rookie in a different manner.
“[Ashton Jeanty] is a beast. … He’s quick, he’s fast, he’s rocked up, he’s thick.”
The quote began to circulate on social media and ESPN Fantasy Sports posted it. This is when Bowers’ comment came to Parsons’ attention and he reacted in a hilarious way.

Jeanty has certainly shown the ability to dominate on the field, as last season with Boise State, he recorded 374 rushing attempts for 2,601 yards (7.0 yards per carry) with 29 rushing touchdowns as well as 23 receptions for 138 yards (6.0 yards per catch) with a receiving touchdown as well.
Bowers’ choice of words to describe his teammate was certainly a choice, and that had some people hysterical and others just confused. Parsons will get a chance to see how ‘thick’ Jeanty is in person as the Cowboys head to Allegiant Stadium in Week 11 to take on the Raiders.
Both teams are going to be interesting to watch this season as Dallas is in a position where they added some talent, such as wide receiver George Pickens, but still have a few holes on the roster in one of the toughest divisions in football. Las Vegas had a lot of changes throughout their organization and is looking to correct the ship, but is also in one of the toughest divisions in the sport.
This season is going to be difficult to project, but Jeanty, Bowers, and Parsons are all going to be ready to dominate.
