When the Green Bay Packers acquired Micah Parsons from the Dallas Cowboys in a blockbuster trade before the 2025 NFL season, the move was seen as the final piece in their Super Bowl puzzle. After starting the season by winning five of their first seven games, however, the team has hit a wall, losing two consecutive games and raising questions about their championship aspirations.
Following their latest defeat, the superstar edge rusher had a bold message for fans and teammates.

What Was Micah Parsons’ Message After the Packers’ Recent Slide?
In a frustrating Monday Night Football matchup where neither offense could find its footing, the Packers fell to the Philadelphia Eagles in a 10-7 defensive struggle. The loss marked their second straight defeat, a first for the team this season, with both losses coming at their home stadium, Lambeau Field.
After the game, Parsons addressed the media from the locker room, sending a clear message about the team’s expectations for the future. According to Packers reporter Dominique Yates, Parsons expressed confidence despite the recent setbacks.
“We are very capable of winning these games. We’re just not playing to the level and standard that we set for each other. We’re beating ourselves with fundamentals and technique … For right now, we just have to get back to the basics … I wouldn’t panic. I wouldn’t stress. We’re going to win football games, I promise you,” stated Parsons.
The Packers’ performance this season has been a tale of two extremes. In their three losses, the offense has been nearly invisible, averaging just ten points per game. In their other six games, which include five wins and one tie, they have been explosive, scoring at least 27 points each time. The defense, however, has been a far more consistent unit.
Their only high-scoring affair was a wild 40-40 tie against the Cowboys, Parsons’ former team, which was the only game this year where Green Bay surrendered more than 25 points. In six of their nine games, the defense has held opponents to 18 points or less. This defensive strength is reflected in their ranking as the ninth-best unit on PFSN’s Impact Rankings.
Parsons himself has been a major contributor to that success, currently ranking fifth among all edge rushers this season. This strong defensive play is likely the foundation for his unwavering confidence.
While the Packers sit in third place in a competitive NFC North division, Parsons has promised that more wins are on the horizon as the team enters the second half of the season.
