Dolphins vs. Bears: How to watch, start time, odds, live streams, TV channel

Dolphins vs. Bears is the first of 10 games being played on Saturday -- Here's how to watch, the TV channel, start time, live streams, and odds.

The Miami Dolphins vs. Chicago Bears is one of 10 preseason matchups being played Saturday, August 14. All eyes will likely be on Chicago rookie Justin Fields as he continues making his case to be QB1. Here is how you can watch the game, the live stream options, start time, TV channel, and NFL odds.

Miami Dolphins vs. Chicago Bears | Preseason Week 1

Tua Tagovailoa vs. Justin Fields is a headline that football fans have been clamoring over since the two impressed in college. Now, we might not get to see much of it in this game, with Andy Dalton likely to start opposite Tua, but there should be some fireworks nonetheless.

Tua comes into this first preseason game with lofty expectations on his shoulders. By all accounts, he struggled in his rookie season. However, now that he is another year removed from his devastating hip injury and the team invested in some offensive weapons, the hype around Tua has returned to somewhere near his pre-draft status.

In Chicago, there is a battle for QB1 between Fields and Dalton. Bears head coach Matt Nagy has already said that Dalton will be the starter in Week 1. Still, Fields has continued to impress in training camp.

“Consider Thursday’s practice to be the first time [Justin] Fields has looked considerably better than Andy Dalton, who didn’t appear as comfortable in the two practices against Miami as he has against his own defense,” wrote NBC Sports Chicago’s Adam Hoge. “Dalton is still having a strong camp overall, but Thursday would best be described as choppy.”

Dolphins vs. Bears | Current NFL odds, spreads, betting lines, and predictions

There will be a lot of situations to look at in the Dolphins vs. Bears game. For Miami, we need to see how they put together their offensive line, and who they have starting in what spot. This will also be the first time we see NFL action for rookie WR Jaylen Waddle. How much rapport will he have with Tagovailoa? There is also a battle for RB1 with Myles Gaskin, the clubhouse leader, but Malcolm Brown and Salvon Ahmed are still fighting for snaps.

On the defensive side of the ball, we are unlikely to see star CBs Byron Jones and Xavien Howard for very long. Rookie safety Jevon Holland has also had a strong camp; we will see if that translates into his first preseason game.

Furthermore, I think we are going to see a lot of Fields in this game. If Nagy is anything like Bill Belichick, who started rookie Mac Jones for nearly three quarters in Thursday night’s game, he will want to get a good look at what his rookie can do.

Both teams will test things on the offensive side of the ball in this game. So, my recommendation would be to take the over. I think the starters should see significant time, and both Tagovailoa and Fields will be trying to impress.
