UConn enjoyed another special March Madness run but suffered heartbreak in the national championship game against Michigan. Now, Dan Hurley will have his sights set on bolstering the Huskies’ roster ahead of next season.
Here’s the rundown on UConn’s transfer-portal departures and additions as UConn tries to build a juggernaut for the 2026-27 college basketball season.
UConn Huskies’ 2026 Transfer Portal Tracker
Players Leaving in the Transfer Portal

Four UConn players have entered the transfer portal, with Reibe being the most notable. The freshman center was limited to 13.8 minutes per game under Hurley, averaging 5.9 points and 3.3 rebounds per game.
Elezaj made just four appearances for UConn in his freshman year and logged only five minutes on the court.
Furphy is another freshman who was reduced to a bit-part role at UConn, averaging 2.4 minutes across 14 games. Similarly, Paunović played in 14 games, averaging 0.9 minutes per game.

Reed led the UConn Huskies with 14.7 points and 9.0 rebounds per game at 60.7% shooting. UConn legend Karaban’s college career is also coming to a close after averaging 13.2 points and 5.3 rebounds in his senior year.
Smith has also exhausted his eligibility. He largely appeared off the bench in his lone year with UConn, averaging 3.6 points and 3.0 assists per game. Millender played 18 games off the bench during his senior year with the Huskies, while Koroma made 17 appearances.
Returning UConn Players
- Silas Demary Jr.
- Jayden Ross
In a big boost for Hurley, Demary will be returning to UConn for his senior year. The guard averaged 10.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 5.9 assists in his junior year for the Huskies.
Ross will again provide a reliable depth option for UConn next season. In his junior year, the forward averaged 4.6 points and 2.5 rebounds. He shot 50.4% from the field.
UConn Players With Remaining Eligibility

Ball is expected to return to bolster the Huskies backcourt next season. He averaged 12.8 points and 3.0 rebounds per game in 2025-26.
Mullins and Stewart are still weighing their options ahead of next season, with the former a likely first-round NBA Draft pick. The 19-year-old averaged 12 points on 42.1% shooting from the field in his freshman year with UConn.
Stewart still has one year of eligibility left after three years with UConn, and has yet to announce his plans for next season.

UConn made its first big foray into the transfer portal with the commitment of Hines from Seton Hall. The 6-foot-10 forward averaged 5.5 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game in his freshman year despite just 18 minutes of playing time, displaying his defensive skills.
County and Landrew are part of UConn’s recruiting class for 2026. Both players attracted considerable interest from top colleges, but will be suiting up for the Huskies next season.
