“Shoutout to Shaq and AI for what they’re doing with Reebok in trying to revitalize it, going out and getting some notable young players to represent the brand. This is a great start for Darius, and having an opportunity to have your signature shoe in college, that’s a flex,” Williams said on FanDuel’s “Run it Back” show.

“I like what they’re doing with him, Angel Reese, and co. They’re trying to revitalize Reebok and get it going. So this is a great move,” he added.

Shaquille O’Neal is the president of Reebok Basketball, while Allen Iverson serves as vice president. The two NBA legends were appointed to their roles in 2023 as Reebok aimed to put renewed focus on basketball. They have focused on helping the next generation of basketball stars.

As Williams mentioned, Angel Reese is one of the players signed to Reebok. The WNBA star debuted her signature shoe with the brand in September 2025.

Acuff Jr. has been making plenty of waves in his freshman year with the Arkansas Razorbacks, averaging 23.3 points and 6.5 assists per game. He is coming off a historic 36-point showing against High Point in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
