How Did Fans React to Rams QB Matthew Stafford Throwing INTs?

Stafford has been having a fantastic season. He currently ranks No. 8 on PFSN’s QB Impact, and his MVP-level campaign reached another milestone in Week 13 when he threw his 31st touchdown of the year, strengthening his MVP case.

But that touchdown was even more special as it broke an NFL record previously held by legend Tom Brady. Brady’s record was 27 straight touchdown passes without an interception, set during the 2010–2011 season.

Stafford hadn’t thrown a pick since Week 3, and with his latest TD, he reached 28 consecutive touchdown passes without an interception, giving him the new NFL record.

Right after the achievement, everyone was busy praising the QB, but things changed quickly when Stafford threw two interceptions in just three passing attempts, ending his historic streak.

The first interception was by Nick Scott in the end zone. After that, cornerback Mike Jackson picked him off and ran 48 yards down the sideline for a touchdown, giving the Panthers a 14-7 lead. This instantly fired up fans, who rushed to social media with frustration.

A user points out the long streak that’s broken, “Matthew Stafford’s streak finally ends–after 318 attempts without an interception, the Panthers pick him off in the end zone.”

One fan wrote, “Is stafford selling the mvp?” Another one posted, “Another Stafford interception? CMC mvp in bound baby.”

One criticising the interceptions, claimed, he just lost his MVP: “Matthew Stafford just lost his MVP.”

One fan joked he’s helping Dak Prescott’s MVP campaign: “Stafford helping Dak get his MVP.” Another claimed he just gave it to Drake Maye: “Stafford just gave the MVP to Drake Maye.”

Another user believes his faults are helpful to Maye, “Matthew stafford stinker does wonders for that Drake Maye #MVP.”

Another fan roasted the QB by writing, “Stafford just decided to throw away his mvp case for no reason.”

Mentioning Maye again, another fan wrote, “Two picks already for Matthew Stafford, including a pick-six, in Carolina. A boost for Drake Maye’s MVP candidacy, perhaps.”

In a Week where every team is fighting to strengthen its playoff position, even small mistakes can put a player at the center of criticism. But there’s no denying how great Stafford has been so far.

He’s one of the driving forces behind the Rams’ success and their current 9-2 record, which makes them one of the strongest contenders for the postseason. Hopefully, a couple of interceptions won’t affect his momentum or their game against the Panthers.
