What is the status of USC running back MarShawn Lloyd as the Trojans take on Pac-12 front-runner Washington? Will Lloyd be able to help his team take on Michael Penix Jr. and the Huskies?
Is MarShawn Lloyd Active for Week 10?
MarShawn Lloyd is out for USC’s Week 10 game against the Washington Huskies. He did not leave the California game on Oct. 28 with an injury, and no injury was disclosed in relation to his Week 10 absence.
Lloyd suffered a torn ACL as a true freshman at South Carolina. But since then, he’s worked his way back and morphed into one of the best, most dynamic runners in college football.

After a successful 2022 campaign with the Gamecocks, Lloyd transferred to USC in the 2023 offseason to join forces with Caleb Williams and Lincoln Riley. Through nine games, he was having his best season yet.
The 5’9″, 215-pound Lloyd had amassed 766 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on just 99 carries heading into USC’s Week 10 contest against Washington.
With his performance in 2023, Lloyd has established himself as a riser in the 2024 NFL Draft running back class.
Although he’ll be a 23-year-old rookie, and although he has an injury history to account for, Lloyd is one of the most compelling natural runners in the 2024 NFL Draft on account of his physical tools.
At 5’9″, 215 pounds, Lloyd has very natural running leverage to go along with excellent contact balance. His frame is designed to work through contact and extend runs, but on top of that, he also brings visible burst, eye-catching agility, and change of direction.
The hope is that whatever injury Lloyd is dealing with is a short-term ailment and he will be able to return to action for the Trojans in Week 11 against the sixth-ranked Oregon Ducks.
