Speaking candidly on his popular podcast, “‘Dat Dude TV,” Wiley addressed the rumors by drawing upon his own extensive experience in professional locker rooms.

While reacting to a clip of former Miami Marlins president David Samson talking about his experience dealing with the fallout of players sleeping with their teammates’ wives, Wiley didn’t hold back.
“Oh, there’s nothing [worse]! And I’ve seen that happen twice,” Wiley revealed to his audience, reflecting on the startling audacity of some players.
“I’ve even seen where a teammate cheated with somebody’s wife and then they end up getting married. What? What? I’ve seen that,” Wiley added.
For professional athletes, the locker room is supposed to be a sacred brotherhood built on trust, camaraderie, and mutual respect. However, Wiley explained that the lines are frequently blurred, even when teammates are ostensibly close.
“I’ve seen somebody else [go], ‘Yeah, we teammates and that’s your girl, but when y’all break up, now that’s my girl,'” Wiley said. “What?! I’ve also seen cats react to this, and there’s nothing worse than, ‘You got [with] my teammate?! You’re with your teammate’s girl?!”
To illustrate his point, Wiley noted that these deeply personal conflicts often spill into the public eye. He referenced high-profile love triangles that have captured national headlines over the years.
“I mean, we all know famous cases,” he explained. “The whole [Colin] Kaepernick one. Kaepernick was… what’s the dude that used to play the [defensive end] that was so damn good but just couldn’t keep his head straight? [Aldon Smith]. That was his ex, (Nessa); Kaepernick’s girl or wife right now.”
He also pointed to an infamous NBA feud, adding, “We seen Derek Fisher and Matt Barnes. Like, come on.”
Ultimately, whether it involves prominent figures like the alleged Vrabel-Russini situation or quiet betrayals between teammates, the destructive nature of these scandals remains a constant. For Wiley, it represents the ultimate violation of team chemistry and personal respect.
“But I’m telling you,” Wiley sternly warned, summarizing the devastating fallout of such actions. “If you really want somebody to touch that third rail, mess with a teammate’s wife or a teammate’s girl. That’s a problem.”
Few things can tear a franchise apart overnight, but this is certainly one, according to Wiley.
Wiley Explains How Relationships Like Vrabel-Russini Develop
In the latest episode of “Hydration Situation,” Wiley offered another perspective on how such relationships unfold.
“A lot of these relationships come out of convenience. They don’t come out of, like, connection,” Wiley said. “They don’t even come out of the connection of physical attraction or emotional attraction. None of that. It starts off with you right here, I’m right here. My antennas go up, and let’s go. It’s primal almost.”
“I ain’t even that attracted to you, but I keep seeing you everywhere,” Wiley explained. “My antenna goes up. Boom. Then, next thing you know, you’re in HR. Simple as that. It’s that simple.”
Wiley also suggested that Vrabel and Russini would have fared better by being honest if they had nothing to conceal. Instead, their vagueness led many to speculate about a possible affair.
“We gotta slap ourselves when we lie,” Wiley said on “Dat Dude TV.” “And we all lie, trust me. If we’re caught slipping, the first thing is, ‘Is this lie gonna work ’cause I don’t wanna deal with these consequences?’ Once you realize, and hopefully you’ve got a better ‘Spidey Sense’ than Dianna, you realize this ain’t gonna work.”
“Sometimes you just know you can’t lie,” Wiley added. “You can lie about why, but you can’t lie about it… I can rob a bank and give you a bunch of financial reasons… but we still know [you did it]. So, in this situation, the lies are the problem. This story could’ve been dead by now. I really think it could’ve been dead because the draft would take over, but instead, you dismissed us, you laughed at us for just being curious.”
