Mansoor Delane’s NFL Draft Potential

Mansoor Delane has been the best cornerback in college football in 2025, and it hasn’t been close. The stats reflect this — he has the best PFSN CFB CBi grade in the database with an almost unheard-of mark of 98.7 — and the film accentuates where he wins. He’s a mirror-motor master who operates as his receivers’ shadow in press-man, and he’s a rapid reactor in off-man and zone who can sink, redirect, and explode to cover ground and close gaps without delay.

He’s a pest at the catch in spite of his average size, and he’s shown he can execute crack-and-replace blocks in support as well. Delane won’t hit every team’s desired size threshold, but even there, he’s far from a liability. Ultimately, he checks every box, and that’s why he’s my current CB1.

CFB Week 9 Update

LSU may have lost 49-25, and KC Concepcion may have had a big day on the other side, but none of those points or yards came when targeting Mansoor Delane in coverage. Delane, on two targets, had a 100% forced incompletion percentage, with two deflections — including one tipped pass on the blitz that turned into an interception for teammate Harold Perkins Jr. Whether it’s locking down WRs in man coverage, dissuading QBs in zone, or playing strong and fast in support, Delane continues to check all the boxes, irrespective of his team’s overall play.

CFB Week 10 Update

LSU was on a bye in Week 10, but the Tigers will return to action in Week 11 against the top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide. Alabama will test LSU on both sides of the ball. On offense, the Crimson Tide boast a diverse core led by Ty Simpson, Ryan Williams, and Germie Bernard, as well as a stalwart offensive line, and on defense, Alabama is stout up front, with fast-flowing defenders at all three levels.

Where Is Delane Being Selected Most Often in the PFSN Mock Draft Simulator?

Delane currently holds the No. 15 overall rank among prospects, placing him among the first-round caliber prospects. His most recent Average Draft Position (ADP) of 13.4 as of October 27 reflects that he is typically being selected in the first round.

This small gap between rank and ADP suggests he’s consistently valued among evaluators, even amid fluctuations in player evaluations at this stage of the draft cycle.

Users controlling the Seattle Seahawks have been the team that selected Delane the most frequently over the past week, accounting for 2.8% of their picks across all seven rounds. Notably, 8.9% of the Seattle Seahawks’ first-round selections over that same period were used on Delane, underscoring users’ strong preference for him as a potential immediate-impact cornerback.
