The Tennessee Titans announced Friday that cornerback L’Jarius Sneed has been released, placing another cornerback on the market who should attract interest from several franchises. Analyst Emmanuel Acho listed five teams that could pursue Sneed, including the Dallas Cowboys and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Five Teams That Could Pursue L’Jarius Sneed
Sneed’s time with the Titans did not go as expected, especially when considering the value the franchise committed to the cornerback in 2024. At the time, Tennessee traded for Sneed from the Chiefs and soon after signed him to a four-year, $76.4 million contract.
It was expected that Sneed would arrive to solve the problems at the position, but he was not even able to establish consistency with the team. In two seasons, he played only 12 games, suffering injuries in each of those years. The lack of availability lowered the player’s value, and he now becomes a free agent.
Dallas presents itself as an interesting destination where Sneed could regain prominence. DaRon Bland is a certainty in the group, but beyond him, the Cowboys have Shavon Revel Jr. and Cobie Durant as viable options, certainly a group where Sneed could compete.

Another possibility is a reunion with the Chiefs, the team where Sneed began his career and played his first four seasons in the NFL, winning two Super Bowls. Kansas City traded Trent McDuffie and lost Joshua Williams in free agency, and could bring Sneed back on a smaller contract while adding a veteran and familiar presence to the group.
Acho also listed the Buffalo Bills as a possibility, where he could join a group with Christian Benford, Maxwell Hairston, and Dorian Strong. Buffalo had an excellent secondary last season and wants to maintain that strength for 2026.
With the New York Giants, the situation could be more complex, and Sneed would arrive competing for a spot, as the team has Paulson Adebo and the recently acquired Greg Newsome II as outside cornerbacks. The Los Angeles Chargers are also a realistic destination, especially since, because he was released, Sneed does not count toward the compensatory pick formula.
In 2025, Sneed received a D grade in the PFSN Cornerback Impact Meter, ranking 116th among all cornerbacks in the league. Now available on the market, if multiple teams show interest, money may not be the main factor, but rather a place that gives him the chance to prove he is still one of the best players at the position.
