While Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James might be sidelined for the first few weeks of the NBA season with “sciatica on his right side,” that didn’t stop him from tuning in to the Monday Night Football doubleheader on ESPN and ABC. In the first matchup, the 2-2 Atlanta Falcons are hosting the 4-1 Buffalo Bills.
But in the third quarter, with the Falcons up 14-7 on the Bills, Atlanta running back Bijan Robinson made a play that shocked everyone on social media — from football fans to “King James.”

Locked in a battle with one of the best teams in the AFC, the NFC’s Atlanta Falcons kept working to extend its 14-7 home lead. With 11 minutes to go until halftime, Robinson exploded through the gap and sprinted down the sideline.

Eighty-one yards later, the back had just set a career-high on a single rush, and Atlanta took a 14-point lead over the mighty Bills.
As soon as he saw it, James took to X, where he praised Robinson, writing, “Bijan so COLD!!!!!!!!! 🥶”

James, an avid sports fan, often tweets during primetime football games, showing his appreciation for superstars in their respective sports.
Robinson has every right to be one of these athletes — this season, he and the Atlanta Falcons were 2-2 on the season heading into Week 6. After falling to a tough division rival, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 1, Atlanta secured a huge road win against Minnesota.
The team slipped in Week 3 against the Carolina Panthers, but won a big one the next week against Washington.
One of the driving forces has been the revitalized Atlanta offense that is evolving around QB Michael Penix Jr.’s strengths. Through four games, Robinson has rushed 64 times for 546 yards and four touchdowns. As a pass catcher, he’s caught 18 passes for a team-leading 270 yards and another score.
According to PFSN’s RB Impact Score, Robinson has tallied an 86.9 grade (B), which ranks fifth among the league’s rushers. This has helped Atlanta’s offense earn an OFFi of 74.5 (C), ranking 17th in the league.
While Tampa Bay QB Baker Mayfield might be playing like a potential MVP, though, the Falcons have a legitimate chance to either steal the NFC South crown away from the Buccaneers, or Atlanta could sneak in as a Wild Card team.
Regardless of their Monday Night Football clash with Buffalo, which the Falcons lead 21-7 at halftime, Atlanta has a big Sunday Night Football game next week in San Francisco against an injured 49ers team.
Since the team had a Week 5 bye, the rest of the schedule might be a gauntlet for Atlanta. Following the San Francisco game, the Falcons will host the Miami Dolphins in Week 7, and then has games against the New England Patriots, Indianapolis Colts, and a potential revenge spot against the Panthers.
