The tallest active receiver in the NFL is Johnny Wilson of the Philadelphia Eagles at 6’6”, while Deonte Harty is the shortest at 5’6″.

How Much Does Williams Weigh?

Williams weighed 190 pounds, which is below the average for receivers (200 pounds). However, his speed and burst allow him to excel and win against most of the players he faces.

How Old Is Williams?

Williams was born on Nov. 13, 2002, and is 22 years old. With this year’s draft class having a higher average age, Williams is on the younger end of the spectrum in the receiver class.

Who Are Williams’ Parents?

Williams was born to parents Stephen and Erin Williams in Baltimore, but he moved to Inglewood, Calif. He has three siblings, per the Cougars’ official page.

What School Did Williams Go To?

Williams played his high school football at Hawthorne High School, Narbonne High School, and Saint Monica High School, racking up 763 yards and nine touchdowns as a senior in 2019.

Williams was a three-star recruit coming out of high school due to having played as a quarterback at Hawthorne and Narbonne before transitioning to receiver at Saint Monica.

Revisiting Williams’ College Career

Williams committed to UNLV and became a starter as a freshman. He finished as the team’s leading receiver with 35 catches for 426 yards and two touchdowns, winning the Mountain West Freshman of the Year award.

Williams showed improvement over the next two seasons with UNLV, catching 82 passes for 1,142 yards and seven touchdowns, but it wasn’t until he transferred to Washington State that his talents came under the radar of NFL scouts.

Williams racked up 843 yards and six scores in his first season at Washington State before a career year in 2024 saw him rise to the top of the draft boards. He posted 1,198 yards and 14 touchdowns, including a Holiday Bowl record 172 yards against Syracuse that broke a mark previously held by Dallas Cowboys legend Dez Bryant. Williams also posted five 100+ yard games in his senior season.

How Fast Was Williams’ 40-Yard Dash?

Williams may not tower over defenders, but his game speaks for itself. He ran a blazing 4.4-second time in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, and his acceleration makes him a nightmare on screens. The 22-year-old has the kind of first-step burst that catches defenders flat-footed.

Williams’ Scouting Report

Williams has been compared with Wan’Dale Robinson of the New York Giants. While Robinson is smaller, both are dangerous from the slot and rely on speed and quickness. If Williams builds on his 70-catch senior year, he could become a real weapon at the next level.

PFSN’s Ian Cummings projects that Williams will be picked No. 69 overall by the New England Patriots in his latest seven-round mock draft.

Cummings said, “The Patriots hosted Kyle Williams on a 30 visit and could be fantasizing about utilizing his vertical, RAC, and route-running skills as a safety blanket for Maye.”
