The Pittsburgh Steelers are off to a great start to the season, sitting in first place in the AFC North by 2.5 games with a 4-1 record. They’ve taken care of business, and RB Kenneth Gainwell is shining for Pittsburgh in 2025.
He’s playing a big role in the offense and has taken advantage of his opportunities. He’s set to take the field on Thursday Night Football. Here’s a look at his personal life and relationship status.
Is Kenneth Gainwell Married?
Gainwell is married to Jada Gainwell. The couple got married in March 2025, shortly before Gainwell decided that his new home would be in Pittsburgh. From tying the knot to signing with the Steelers within a few days, the Gainwells had quite the week or so. It was an eventful summer for the newlyweds, and Gainwell is continuing the fun with his great start to the season.
Jada and Kenneth both attended the University of Memphis and likely began their relationship during college. They began dating a few years ago and are still going strong. Jada has supported Kenneth publicly on her social media and has always supported him in the NFL.
Outside of that, Jada stays low-profile. Her social media highlights her and Kenneth while remaining out of the spotlight.
It has been a year full of celebration for Kenneth. He was on the Philadelphia Eagles in 2024, who took home the Super Bowl after dominating the Kansas City Chiefs. He added two rings to his collection with the Super Bowl ring and his wedding ring. Now, he’s taken on a new challenge where he is on pace to set a career-high in carries.
He has been solid for the Steelers, where he was slated to be the backup to Jaylen Warren. In the absence of Warren in Week 4, Kenneth ran the ball 19 times for 99 yards and two touchdowns. He added six catches for 35 yards. He was impactful as the starter and has been huge for the Steelers’ offense.
Kenneth is the 30th-ranked running back in PFSN’s Running Back Impact score. For a backup, he is highly ranked. He’ll be in action against divisional rival, the Cincinnati Bengals, in Week 7. The Steelers could start closing in on a division title if they win on Thursday night. They would be 3.5 games up on the next closest team and, with each passing week, would take a step closer to winning the division.
Steelers fans would not have expected to be this far ahead with teams like the Ravens and Bengals in their division. Some brutal injury luck to their rivals has helped, but the Steelers have done their job and can only control what they can control. They are one of the top teams in the AFC and could be looking at a potential deep playoff run if they keep up their hot start.
