Kay Adams emerged as a beloved figure in the football world at NFL Network, and after leaving to host the “Up & Adams Show,” her impact has continued to grow. Few figures in football media boast her skill as an interviewer, getting coaches to open up about their plans and gaining access to a more personal side of buttoned-up athletes.
Subsequently, she is no stranger to virality. With that attention, curiosity increases, and so does the speculation about her life outside the industry.
Kay Adams Drops Dating Takes
On “Bussin’ With The Boys,” Adams spoke with former NFL players Will Compton and Taylor Lewan about dating and why she is more likely to get into a serious relationship now compared to earlier in her career.
“The truth is, I have realized that I have very little experience dating,” Adams said.
She elaborated on how her current show provides a newfound level of stability.
“I think I haven’t known what I’ve wanted super much,” she said. “I think I’m always in survival mode of ‘What’s next? How am I gonna survive and advance?’ That’s a life thing. And now I feel like I’m very happy with where I am. I’m settled. I’m a little more calm. I feel a little more able to be there for someone else.”
Adams has built a career getting athletes to loosen up on social media, which often sparks baseless dating rumors. But none of them are valid because for her, it’s strictly professional.
Recently, fans poked fun at the chemistry she shared with Indianapolis Colts quarterback Daniel Jones. He is leading the NFL’s best offense, according to PFSN’s Offense Impact metric, which might help his chances on the open market, but the two are not dating.
During her appearance on the podcast, Adams detailed what a prospective boyfriend must bring to the table, including her expectations for the first date… It must be a romantic dinner.
“There’s nothing better than banter, and I have that with so few people, but I would say the loyalty. I need to feel secure. I need somebody who makes me feel secure. So, loyalty is more important than anything. And I’m a very loyal person,” she said.
In the meantime, Adams will stick to covering the NFL, bringing stars closer to their fans, and covering hot topics on and off the field. As “cuffing season” approaches, fans will make sure to keep an eye on their favorite host.
