Justin Fields joined the New York Jets before the start of the 2025 NFL season. This represents his third team after previously spending time with the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Chicago Bears.
On the field, most know he is one of the most dynamic rushing quarterbacks in the league, but many may be unaware of his life off of it. Here are some things to know about the young star.
Justin Fields’ Rumored Relationship With Gianna Carmona
Rumors suggest that Fields is dating social media influencer and model Gianna Carmona, although the potential couple has never publicly confirmed their relationship. The rumors began back in 2023 when Carmona shared photos of a vacation in Turks and Caicos during the NFL offseason, and the quarterback appeared to be in some images, though they never verified that it was him.
The rumors increased during the 2024 season when he was with the Steelers. Carmona shared photos on her social media accounts of her attending the game when he was serving as the team’s starting quarterback, before Russell Wilson took charge. Signs suggest they have some sort of relationship, but if they do, they have chosen to keep it as private as possible.
Who Are Fields’ Parents and Siblings?
Ivant Fields and Gina Tobey gave birth to Justin on March 5, 1999, so he is 26 years old during the 2025 season with the Jets. Ivant is a former college linebacker for Eastern Kentucky, while Gina gets credit for convincing her son to join the Georgia Bulldogs following his graduation from high school. He did so before eventually transferring to the Ohio State Buckeyes.
His parents reportedly divorced when he was much younger, but both of them have apparently played a major role in his life growing up. His mother remains unmarried, but his father remarried Jo Ann Claudrik, who gave birth to Fields’ two sisters, Jaiden and Jessica.
Jaiden played softball for the University of Georgia and was an All-SEC player. Jessica joined the Michigan Wolverines, the Buckeyes’ biggest rivals, to play women’s college basketball. The Fields are clearly an athletic family.
Previewing Jets vs. Patriots Week 11 TNF
The Jets opened their 2025 NFL season by losing each of their first seven games. Head coach Aaron Glenn appears to have turned things back in the right direction as they will enter Week 11 on a two-game winning streak.

It will be difficult for them to keep it rolling against the New England Patriots, who are on an active seven-game winning streak. New head coach Mike Vrabel and rising star Drake Maye, who is currently the NFL MVP favorite, have fueled it. He also ranks third among all quarterbacks on PFSN’s Impact Rankings, while Fields currently ranks just 28th.
All of this makes the Patriots heavy favorites on TNF, though the Jets’ recent surge gives them a chance at an upset. Divisional rivalry games can sometimes produce surprising results, especially on Thursday nights, which have been unpredictable as teams have to deal with a shortened week of preparation.
