Josh Allen had a day to forget against the Philadelphia Eagles. The quarterback struggled against a strong defense, but he still managed to put the Buffalo Bills in position to win the game. Ultimately, he missed the game-winning throw on a two-point attempt.
He broke an important record midway through the game, further proof that he’s one of the best quarterbacks in the league. But he’s unlikely to celebrate anything after the loss sealed the Bills’ playing a road game in the Wild Card Round.
Josh Allen Breaks 300-TD Record During Bills’ Loss To Eagles
Allen scored his 300th career touchdown during the loss to the Eagles, breaking two records at once. He became the fastest player in league history to reach 300 touchdowns, and at the same time, the youngest player in NFL history to hit the mark.

Allen led the Bills in a heroic fourth-quarter comeback attempt. Ultimately, fans will remember that he missed a wide-open Khalil Shakir in the end zone to win the game, which cost not only the contest but also the division. After the game, Allen limped into the X-ray room, raising concern, but head coach Sean McDermott said his X-rays were negative. Even though the Bills will be favorites in the Wild Card Round, playing away from home is never ideal.
Allen’s record is proof that he belongs among the league’s elite quarterbacks. He has been productive since entering the NFL and has taken off since the 2020 season. He established himself as one of the best passers in the league, starting what would become the most exciting rivalry of the decade with Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
He has never made the Super Bowl. But that does not serve as a negative mark on his career. Mahomes has been his nemesis; in 2025, however, the Kansas City Chiefs are guaranteed to miss the playoffs. This could be Allen’s best chance yet to win the conference, even though he will begin his postseason run in the Wild Card Round.
Allen ranks as No. 2 in PFSN’s QB Impact Metric for the 2025 season, trailing only Brock Purdy. The eye test confirms what the numbers show. The Bills are here to stay, and Allen is poised to break more records in the postseason.
