Jordan Love’s Fantasy Outlook
It feels like a football lifetime has come and gone since the Packers spent a first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft to acquire Love. Since then, Love had the opportunity to watch Rodgers win two regular-season MVP awards while learning Matt LaFleur’s offensive scheme.
While we don’t have a proper sample size to create a projection for this Green Bay offense to feel confident in, Rodgers did prove this scheme can produce top-10 fantasy finishes at the QB position (QB2 overall in 2020 and QB6 overall in 2021).
Now, those top-six finishes came from a future Hall of Famer in the midst of league MVP campaigns, but the 2022 finish of QB13 was still fantasy relevant.
The offense weapons around Love, namely wide receivers Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs, both gained valuable experience and showed legit playmaking abilities during their rookie seasons. It’s entirely plausible they will be even better in their second seasons in the NFL.
Speaking of Watson, Love did showcase some chemistry with the talented WR during his brief appearance against the eventual NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles in Week 12 last season.
Love’s clean performance in the fourth quarter against the league’s top-ranked defensive unit against opposing passing offenses gave us a glimpse of the potential upside he may have.
And that chemistry with Watson appears to have continued into Packers training camp…

Should You Draft Jordan Love at His Current Draft Day Price?
Look, no one is expecting Love to fill Rodgers’ MVP-sized shoes in his first season under center. But that doesn’t mean he shouldn’t be on your fantasy radar.
MORE: 2023 Fantasy Player Projections
Surrounded by talented vertical threats like Watson and Doubs, a talented backfield duo in Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon, a talented pair of TE prospects in Luke Musgrave and Tucker Kraft, and an offensive-minded coach with multiple seasons of proven success, the Packers’ offense has plenty of fantasy upside at their current draft-day price.
Love’s current price of QB22 with an ADP of 163 overall makes him well worth the investment of a 14th-round pick on draft day.
