The Miami Dolphins have had a tough first half of the NFL season.
They come into Sunday’s showdown with the Washington Commanders as the third-place team in the AFC East with a 3-7 record.

Jon Gruden Has High Hopes For Miami Dolphins
That said, one person who has not given up on the team is NFL legend Jon Gruden.
Gruden wrote (via X): “You want a hot take?! Well here’s one! Don’t be shocked if you wake up in a few weeks and the MIAMI DOLPHINS are in the playoff hunt!!”

Following the Commanders, the Dolphins will play the play the New Orleans Saints, New York Jets and Pittsburgh Steelers.
According to Gruden, they will win all four games (which would have them on a five-game winning streak).

The Dolphins are coming off a season where they went 8-9 (and missed the NFL playoffs).
Previously, they had made the postseason in 2023 and 2024.
Right now, the Dolphins have a lot of momentum after a shocking 30-13 victory over Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills (last Sunday in Miami).

As for Gruden, he last coached in the NFL during the 2021 season when he was with the Las Vegas Raiders.
The Dolphins Currently Rank 20th in PFSN’s Offense Impact with a 72.8 grade
