John Harbaugh Reacts to Praise from Donald Trump

Early in January, it was announced that the Ravens and Harbaugh would be parting ways. During his time with the organization, he compiled a regular-season record of 180-113 for a win percentage of .614 over the course of 18 years.

In the 2012 season, the Ravens won Super Bowl 47, Harbaugh’s only Super Bowl victory. However, in 2019, he was named the AP Coach of the Year after coaching the Ravens to a 14-2 record.

During the playoffs, the Ravens went 13-11 under Harbaugh. Even though they won the Super Bowl in the 2012 season, they never got over that hump again. Despite being successful in the regular season over the past few years, Harbaugh’s lack of playoff success led to his release.

Early after his release, the Giants were linked to him almost immediately as a potential landing spot. Soon after, it was announced that Harbaugh was headed to the Meadowlands.

President Trump aggressively insisted that the Giants should hire Harbaugh during interviews. On social media, he posted a message saying, “The New York Football Giants should hire, without question, John Harbaugh, and John, a great guy, should TAKE THE JOB!!! President DJT.”

Now, Giants fans have a lot to look forward to. Harbaugh is one of the best coaches in the league and has the potential to be a long-term answer for the team.

The new head coach will have a lot of young talent to work with on the Giants. Specifically, quarterback Jaxson Dart could thrive under Harbaugh, who this season ranked as the 18th-best quarterback in the league with an impact score of 76.5 and a letter grade of C, according to PFSN’s NFL Quarterback Impact Metric.

It’s not just Dart; there’s also Cam Skattebo, Malik Nabers, Abdul Carter, Brian Burns, and more. The Giants might need a few years to develop, but they should be a viable contender in the coming years.
