Even as he prepares for a new start with the New York Giants, John Harbaugh had a heartwarming message for his daughter.

It is a new beginning for John Harbaugh. After spending almost two decades with the Baltimore Ravens, his tenure came to an end this offseason. As one of the most sought-after head coaching candidates, he quickly found a new job with the New York Giants.

But, even as he prepares for his first season with a new franchise, the veteran coach found time to devote to his family. On a special day for his daughter, Alison Harbaugh, he posted a heartwarming message wishing her well on social media.

John Harbaugh Gives Girl Dad Goals

Married to Ingrid Harbaugh, the two had a daughter, Alison, together in 2001.

A tremendous athlete herself, Alison has been on the lacrosse team for the University of Notre Dame since 2020, before joining the University of South Florida in 2025.

But rather than an accomplishment in the sport, coach Harbaugh was celebrating his daughter’s 25th birthday. Writing a message on Instagram, he also attached pictures of Alison over the years.

“Happy Birthday to our most precious daughter Alison,” Harbaugh wrote. “What a great day and what an AMAZING young person. You are the sunshine of our lives!!!! We LOVE YOU Alison.”

As John celebrates the special moment with Alison, his attention quickly shifts to the NFL calendar. With the first week of preseason right around the corner, the former Super Bowl champion has a lot of moving parts to figure out.

Working with a second-year quarterback in Jaxson Dart and an extremely young roster, Harbaugh has the pieces to potentially make some noise in the NFC.

Starting with the Minnesota Vikings, they will also face the Miami Dolphins and the New York Jets during the preseason, before their season officially kicks off with the first Sunday Night Football game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Last season, the team finished 4-13. But the upside became clear with Dart, Malik Nabers, Cam Skattebo, and Abdul Carter. It’s going to be on Harbaugh to make the pieces fit together perfectly.

But after he was brought into the organization with a ton of fanfare, the expectations for the team and throughout the fan base are through the roof. It will be interesting to see how that plays out over the course of the year, but for the time being, the Giants have everyone’s attention.
