It’s been a crazy trade deadline with multiple All-Pro players being moved. Two of them have come from the hands of the New York Jets. They shocked the world in the early afternoon by trading away Sauce Gardner to the Indianapolis Colts, only to move Quinnen Williams to the Dallas Cowboys shortly after. It’s been chaos, and the Jets will look different in Week 10.
Jets players have taken to social media to react to the deadline deals made by their team.
Jets Players React to the Blockbuster Trades
Gardner to the Colts came out of nowhere. The entire NFL world was floored by the report in which Ian Rapoport had to tweet again to confirm that the deal was indeed real. The Jets players chipped in with their own reactions. Jermaine Johnson II is a potential trade candidate himself, but was excited to see what happened on deadline day.
He started by tweeting a GIF eating popcorn as he geared up to enjoy the chaos that was going to ensue.

Little did he know, his All-Pro teammate was first on the list to go. Gardner is an outstanding player and ranks 23rd in PFSN’s CB Impact score. It’s a huge loss for the Jets’ defense, and it came as a shock to Gardner, Johnson, and just about everyone. Johnson posted a jaw-dropping reaction on social media to the news of the deal.

Johnson wasn’t the only Jets player who was active on social media reacting to the Gardner deal. Braelon Allen was shellshocked as he came to terms with the fact that Gardner would not be suiting up for the Jets in Week 10.

Well, unfortunately, the Jets weren’t done. Johnson was ready to react once again on social media as his friend on the defensive line, Quinnen Williams, was given a new home.

Johnson is a defeated soul after watching his defensive teammates move on. These aren’t just any teammates, but All-Pro players who were two of the top players on the unit. Williams is the 10th-ranked DT in PFSN’s DT Impact score with a grade of 82.7. Another huge loss for the Jets as they stack up draft capital for the future.
Williams’ brother, Quincy, also a member of the Jets defense, was on social media reacting to the Jets’ wild deadline as well. Quincy is on an expiring deal in the offseason and might be ready to move on from New York as well.

Johnson is now thrust into the spotlight as one of the premier defensive players for New York and will be a key leader of the unit. He will be a massive part of the defense in the future and must step up significantly to help replace the production in the trenches.
