The New York Jets are going to be busy during the 2026 NFL Draft. They have four picks in the top 44 and own the No. 2 overall selection. Since Fernando Mendoza is a near lock to be the top pick, the Jets have their pick of the litter beyond the top QB. They have to make sure to nail this pick and scout all potential options. But Aaron Glenn was caught sleeping during the NFL Scouting Combine, and the NFL world took aim at Glenn and the Jets.

Glenn falling asleep at the combine is not a good look for New York. One NFL reporter went a step further with the choice of words.

The Jets had a terrible season in 2025 and narrowly missed out on the top pick in the draft. A team that needs to rebuild cannot afford to have its head coach fall asleep while looking for improvements, and the media let Glenn hear it.

The Jets are searching for edge rushers, especially after they traded Jermaine Johnson II to the Titans, where Johnson is reunited with former Jets HC Robert Saleh. When Glenn was captured asleep, the edge rushers were running their 40-yard dashes. It was possibly the worst time for Glenn to be pictured asleep.

If Glenn turns in another disastrous season, his job might be gone. Some fans and reporters are already done with him.

Others think this just makes sense for it to be the Jets.

Jets fans have been through the wringer over the last 15 years waiting to see their team in the playoffs again. This was probably the last thing they were hoping to see at the combine. But for now, they remain the laughing stock of the NFL after Glenn’s brutal mistake at the combine.
